Fruit Basket

Hello!

I hope your weekend has been a good one.  I just have a quick card to share for this week's CASology challenge where the cue card is Basket:

I was quite stumped by the cue word to begin with but managed to find this basket weave embossing folder.  I inked the edges and popped it up on foam pads.  I stamped a set of berries from Clearly Besotted Stamps and combined it with a punny sentiment.

I will also join up at Addicted to Stamps and More where the theme is Clean and Simple.

I hope you like my card!

Donuts and The Boy Crafter!

Hello!

Good to see you on this sunny, spring morning :)  I have a very special card to share with you today that my 9 year old son, Jack made for his Nana.  His grandparents have gone to spend a few months in the sunshine in Spain - they live quite close to us so we usually see them a few time a  week.  Jack visited my craft room this week to ask if he could make a card for his Nana and this is what he made:

He chose this sweet Hero Arts image and the colours that he wanted to use.  He coloured the image in with my Promarkers and did the die cutting.  (His colouring is better than mine!)The only bit I helped with was stamping the sentiment.  The Nana is made up from a Lawn Fawn alphabet and the main sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Jack often likes to see what I am up to and loves to put things through my die cutting machine or stick his finger in my embossing paste!  I was really impressed with his card and wanted to share it with you.  I am sure his Nana will love it :)

I will also put Jack's card in to the current Nature Challenge at Hero Arts.

Next up is my effort for the current challenge at Inkspirational where the word prompt is Sprinkle:

I immediately thought of donuts with lots of sprinkles when I saw the challenge and used my new Reverse Confetti dies and stamps to make this card.  The donut base is cut from kraft card and inked around the edge with Tea Dye distress ink.  The icing is liberally coated with glossy accents and I dropped the die cut sprinkles over it.

I will also join up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge to make a girly card as there is a lot of pink going on here.

I hope you like our cards and thank you for stopping by :)

Time Out Challenge #26

Hello!

The new challenge at Time Out is here and it is extra special as it is our first birthday too!  Thank you for playing along with the challenge and making it a success - we love seeing all of the great designs that you come up with :)

As it is a special anniversary there are prizes for this challenge from two of our favourite companies.  Stamplorations is offering a $15 gift voucher for the winner we choose and a Birthday/Celebration stencil pack that we will draw randomly and Uniko is also offering a £15 gift voucher for the winner chosen by the DT.

This time we have a photo inspiration:

Frame Collage Funky Bright Home Decor Upcycled Vintage Frames Hollywood Regency Apartment Decor Quirky Decor

I love these brightly coloured frames - there are lots of ways you could be inspired by the photo and the DT have lots of ideas to share.

Here is what I came up with:

I used a fabulous Paper Smooches frames set and simply found a range of hello sentiments to fit inside them.

Head on over to the Time Out blog to see lots of lovely cards from the DT and our fabulous Guest Designer - Mandi from Faith, Hope and Crafts.  Her blog is a happy and creative place full of inspiration so do stop by to say hello.

I will also link my card up at the Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge.

I hope you will play along to celebrate our first birthday :)

See you again soon,

Shoes Make Me Happy!

Hello!

I am back with a quick card for the current challenge at Less Is More.  Alongside many other things, shoes make me happy - I would love a pair of red ones like this:

I red embossed this fabulous shoe stamp from Clarity and coloured the matching stencil with distress inks.  I added a bit of shading around the base of the shoe to add a bit of dimension.  The sentiment reads - Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.  The red embossing really pops in real life :)

I will also link up at Virginia's View Challenge - Embossing and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge which is for girly cards.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Tea Time

Hello!

I wanted to make time to play along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop this weekend and made the following card:

I am not a great coffee drinker but do love me a cup of tea so I hope this qualifies!  This seemed like a great opportunity to use this fab Poppystamps die which I won recently.  I paper pieced it with Lawn Fawn Lets Polka papers which seemed fresh and springlike against the kraft base.  For a bit of extra interest I cut the Paper Smooches stitches border die on both sides of the kraft panel and added a white embossed sentiment from WPlus9.

I have really enjoyed seeing all of the fantastic cards on the hop.  Thanks to the lovely Amy and Chaitali for organising it!

I will also link this card up at Less Is More as tea is definitely one of the things that makes me happy....I have a long list of things that I could put on the list including sunshine, chocolate, butterflies and stamps but may not get time to make cards featuring all of them :)

I will also add this as a final entry at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Bit of Distress

Hello!

A quick post from me to play along with the new challenge at Addicted to CAS - Distress.  I love my distress inks so this was too good an opportunity to miss!

I stamped and white embossed this fabulous Hero Arts daisy randomly on a piece of cardstock and then inked over with Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks.  I flicked water over it to give a bit more of a distressed look.  The sentiment is also Hero Arts and I added a bit of hand stitching down the side to add interest.  I just hope that it is CAS enough...

I will also enter this card in to the Nature challenge over at Hero Arts and at the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon's Wednesday Challenge.

I am quite pleased with how this one turned out.  What do you think?!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Cure for the Monday Blues

Hello!

I hope your weekend is going well :)  I have ignored the housework and played in my craftroom instead - it is the best way to destress after a hectic week....

I have been wanting to play along with Taheerah's fabulous Cure for the Monday Blues all week and this is what I came up with:

I stamped a scalloped border from Paper Smooches on a Reverse Confetti tag and combined it with a ME hello die stacked up several times.  I also stamped the chevrons from the same Paper Smooches set in the background.  I love a black and yellow colour combo and picked up the scallops, hello and heart from the inspiration photo:

I will also link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge which is Anything Goes - I think this is my third entry.

You can get the Paper Smooches border stamps, Reverse Confetti and ME dies from Make the Day Special.

I hope you like it :)

Thanks for stopping by,
