Plant a Garden

Hello!

I wanted to play along at Time Out where the current challenge is a word inspiration using the fabulous quote:

It seemed like the ideal opportunity to use our Plant a Garden stamp set which I have neglected recently (a bit like our actual garden!).  As we have 20% off all stamps this weekend when you use the code STAMP20 it is a great time to get this set or any of our stamps (including those that we only released 2 weeks ago)....

Here is my card:

I stamped and masked some of the elements from the stamp set and watercoloured them.  Having cut them out with a circle die I attached them to a card panel on which I have used our new Cobblestone stencil.

I shall also link up at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge (without the optional twist).

Here are the products that I used to make this card:

I hope you have a healthy and happy Easter,

Easter Stamp Sale!!

Hello!

I hope that you have a restful and healthy easter weekend planned....it seems to have crept up on me amidst all of the other events taking place in the world.  However, now that we are here, I wanted to celebrate with an easter weekend sale.  There is 20% off all of the stamps in store when you use the code STAMP20 at checkout before midnight on Monday, 13 April.  This applies to all of our stamps including the recent release and the sets featured on our Hochanda show last weekend :)

Here is a card that I have made with our Butterfly Wishes set.  I watercoloured it with Zig Watercolour markers and attached it to a card panel which has our new Butterfly Background stencil heat embossed on it.  We are donating £2 to the Alzheimers Society for each Butterfly Background sold during April.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where we have a spring moodboard to inspire us and at Inkspirational where spring is also the theme.

Here are the products that I have used on this card:

Finally, I can't go without announcing the winner of our latest stamp release....apologies for the delay!  The winner is Denise Bryant.  Congratulations, Denise :)  I shall get in touch to arrange to get your prize to you!

Thank you for stopping by,

Sarah x

AAA Birthday Challenge

Hello!

Well, April is here already and despite the strange times that we are in, one thing is for sure.....we still need birthday cards :)  The them at AAA Birthday this month is Dots and/or Stripes:

I decided to go for quite a stylised look.....

I simply inked Chipped Sapphire through a circle aperture and then used copper embossing paste through our Stacked Lines stencil.  The sentiment is from our new Happy Words stamp set.  Super simple but quite a clean graphic look x

Here are the products that I have used today:

I hope that you are able to play along with us this month!

Thanks for stopping by,

AAA Cards

Hello!

I hope that you are staying safe and staying creative during these strange times....I am just popping in with a quick card that I have made for the current challenge at AAA Cards where the theme is made in minutes with an optional twist of stencil.  I am delighted to be the sponsor for this challenge which is one of my favourites in blogland :)

Here is the card that I have made to play along using our Sunray stencil and stamps from our Serenity set:

It really was made in minutes with the sunray being inked along the bottom edge and then stamped over.  Hopefully it is a calming and hopeful image.

I am also excited to say that I will be bringing the products that I have used on this card to Hochanda on Saturday for my first ever show!  Keep everything crossed for me :)

In the meantime, though, do take time to play along at AAA Cards.  You have until 11 April to take part.

Thanks for stopping by,

New Stamps Release Day!

Hello!

I am delighted to confirm that our five new stamp sets are now available to purchase and, even better, there is 10% off everything in store this weekend to celebrate :)

We are also doing a release day blog hop - each member of the DT have inspirational cards to share with you - and every comment you leave will increase your chances of winning the entire release.  You can find links to their blogs at the bottom of this post.

However, here are a few cards that I have created with the new stamps:

I used some of the images from Cattitude to create this card.  I stamped the main cat and masked her off before inking a strip along the bottom of the card in Lucky Clover Distress Oxide.  I then laid our Dotty Grid stencil over the top to give the look of a carpet.  I stamped the gentleman cat, masked him off and inked the large thought bubble from our Say What stencil.  The cats are coloured with Polychromos pencils.

This card features Cupcake Crazy.  I stamped, watercoloured and cut the cupcake out and laid it over a stencilled background using our Sunray stencil

Finally I used Funky Florals and Happy Words.  The floral cluster was gold heat embossed and then masked off before I inked our Funky Circles stencil.  I watercoloured the flowers and used a sentiment from Happy Words.

I hope that you like this trio of cards and the new stamp sets:

Remember there is 10% off everything in store until midnight on Monday, 30 March! Just use the code MARCH10 at checkout.

Visit our DT's blogs too - every comment that you leave on their blogs and this post will be a chance for you to win the entire release :)

Introducing Funky Florals

Hello!

Welcome back to our final day of introductions to the new stamps that we are releasing tomorrow.  This set is called Funky Florals and is an A5 set.  I have loved working with it - the flowers are so versatile and remind me of henna tattoo style art.

Here are some of the cards that I have made:

I stamped and masked off the large flower cluster before inking through our Watercolour Lines stencil.   I coloured the cluster in with pencils, added a sentiment from the Serenity stamp set and some black splatters.  I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

I stamped and masked the flowers and leaves in different colours to create a border along the bottom of a panel of white cardstock before adding a sentiment from our new Happy words set.

I shall link this card up at Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge which is to use your favourite technique.  I love masking stamps - although a simple technique I think that it is a really effective way of adding depth to a single layer.

The wonderful DT have also been creating more inspiring makes with this set - check out their designs here:

I hope that you like this new set:

We will be having a release day blog hop tomorrow and one lucky person will be in with a chance of winning the whole release of all 5 sets so I hope that you visit again!

Introducing Cattitude

Hello!

**I just wanted to start by confirming that we are open for business - I run Funky Fossil from home - cutting and packing orders myself.  As long as the post office remains open we can still dispatch orders.  Your custom means a lot to me!**

I am back again today with another new stamp set that will be released on Saturday, 28 March.  It is another set that features illustrations by the talented Kimma Parish and it is full of cool cats!  I have had so much fun playing with this set :)

Here are two of the cards that I have made:

I stamped the playful cat three times and watercoloured him in different shades.  I completed the circle with the little pawprint stamp from the set and added the sentiment in the middle.

I think that the next cat is a bit of a diva so I have put her in the spotlight (which is a new stencil that you can find in store now).  A bit of shading around the edge and the fun sentiment complete this card.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

I can't wait for you to see the fab cards that the rest of the DT have come up with.  You can check out their designs here:

Here is the new stamp set:

It will be available to buy on Saturday but, in the meantime, we have our final stamp set to showcase tomorrow so I hope to see you again then x
