Birthday Rainbows

Hello!

While I was on holiday I coloured up these cute unicorns from Clearly Besotted and paired them with my Messy Rainbows stencil:

I partially inked through the stencil on a piece of leftover card that I had used to mop up some watercolours. I thought that they looked like clouds and added a few of the unicorns to the design.  The birthday sentiment is from Clearly Besotted too.  I shall link up at Seize the Birthday where the current topping is rainbow and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

On this card I coloured some texture paste light pink and pasted through the Messy Rainbows stencil and a circle aperture.  Do you think it looks a bit like candyfloss?!  The unicorn is leaping towards the rainbow :)  I shall link up at AAA Cards where we have a sketch challenge:

The stencil is available in my Folksy store:

I hope you like my rainbow unicorns :)

Autumnal Thanks

Hello!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.  I can't believe that we have arrived in September already....However it has got me in the mood for making fall and christmas cards.  Here is an autumnal card that I have made using my Forest Foliage stencil:

I pounced through the stencil with flitterglu on dark brown cardstock and used gilding flakes to bring out the design.  I distressed the edges and added some corrugated card, twine and a lovely leaf die cut from Neat and Tangled.  The sentiment is from MFT.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes and at Simon's Monday Challenge where the theme is Autumn.

This is a beautifully detailed stencil which can be used with inks, paints and pastes.  I love the effect that the gilding flakes give!  You can find it in my Folksy store.

At the seaside

Hello!

I had a piece of card sitting on my table that I had used to mop up some blue watercolours and decided to use it to make these two sea themed cards.

Obviously I was going to use my surfer stencil on this watery background and I simply inked through it in Stormy Sky distress ink.  I added some pencil shading and white highlights to help the image pop a bit more against the background.  I love the movement that the background creates!  The sentiment is from the Boho Vibes stamp set that is available from Thats Crafty.

I shall link this card up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes and at Time Out where our inspirational quote is:

The life is good and beach vibe were my inspirations.

I used the remainder of the watercolour card with this lighthouse stamp which came free with a magazine.  I simply coloured it with promarkers and cut it out.  The sentiment is from Stamplorations.

I hope you like these cards and the watery effects!

Sea Life

Hello!

As we have been in Spain for the past few weeks I have obviously picked up the sea side vibe and created two underwater inspired cards.  On this first card I have used my sea horse stencil - I love creating scenes inside the apertures.....

Here, I simply inked with Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio distress inks inside the seahorse and then stamped a range of sea life images in versafine.  The stamps come from a free stamp set but I can't remember which magazine produced them....To finish the panel I stamped the same images in distress inks round the edge of the card panel.  I shall link up for a second time at AAA Cards where the theme is to use a stencil to create a CAS design.

On a similar note I inked around my circle aperture stencil before stamping around the edges.  I also added some of my messy dots stencil to create some bubbles.  I coloured the seahorse and starfish in promarkers to add a pop of contrasting colour and added a lovely sentiment from Uniko's most recent release.

I hope you like my two cards from under the sea :)

My Folksy shop will be back open tomorrow so you can check out my stencils there.

Wild and Free

Hello!

I had a piece of card left over from a previous crafty session with the Messy Rainbows stencil background in texture paste.  That was the start of this card:

I used distress inks on the background - Forest Moss, Crushed Olive, Mermaid Lagoon and Stormy Sky.  I then used my Geometric Stag Stencil with the same ink colours and cut him out.  The sentiment is from a gorgeous new set Boho Vibes Set 1 available from That's Crafty.  I shall link up at The Male Room Challenge where the theme is Wild and Free.

While I had my distress inks and the stamp set out, I watercoloured the main dream catcher image:

I shall link up at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge where the optional twist for August is Flowers.

These are the stencils that I used today:

I am back from my holidays at the weekend so my Folksy store will be back open on Sunday, 26 August :)

Cuteness Alert!

Hello!

I hope you have been enjoying your weekend :)  Here in Spain we have had 4 days of rain which has been a good opportunity to keep crafting....you know that you have an addiction when you are secretly quite happy to see a cloudy sky!  I have been playing with a few new to me sets that I bought out before I came on holiday.  They were too cute to leave at home.

First up is this beautiful little unicorn from Clearly Besotted:

I simply inked round one of my circle aperture stencils and inked up the shooting star stencil in a range of distress inks so that the little unicorn looks as if she is running across a starry sky.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted too.  I shall link this up at Seize the Birthday where Anything Goes and at AAA Cards where the theme is to use a stencil.

On a more rustic note, I wanted to share this cute little fox from Mama Makes.  I simply watercoloured and masked him and stamped the free leaf images from the current edition of Creative Stamping magazine behind him.  I added a few additional splatters to enhance the watercolour look and inked around the edge.  I shall link up at Simon Says Monday Challenge where we are using sprinkles and splatters on our cards :)

I hope you like these cute characters!

Uniko Release Day!

Hello!

Happy Sunday morning to you :)  Today you can get your hands on the gorgeous new stamp sets that Uniko are releasing and, as always, we have our DT blog hop to share some more ideas of what you can make with these fab designs.

Here are a few cards that I have made.  I have made all of the cards while on holiday in Spain with minimal supplies.....some mini distress inks, versafine and a handful of old promarkers….so imagine what you can do with them when you have got all of your craft supplies to play with :)

This simple card is made with the beautiful flower set with a bit of simple masking and colouring with markers.  I love the font of that sentiment!

Here is another card using my stencil hexagon aperture and honeycomb stencil with the bold hello set and some of the stamps from the background builder hexagons along with the sweet bees from the last release.  You can never have too many hexagons in your life :)

And finally, another card made using the fab hexagon stamps along with the bee happy set.  I simply lined the hexagons up so that the block of colour created a strip and cut them out so that they could be positioned as a frame on the card.

I hope you like these designs and get your hands on these gorgeous stamps....they are lots of fun!

Check out the rest of the examples from the talented DT and there is a chance to win the release if you hop along with us :)
