Hello!
I am just stopping by to share the latest challenge over at Uniko with you. We are looking for Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Love which is, of course, perfect as we approach valentine's day :)
This is what I made:
I used the gorgeous Always and Forever Stamp Set (which is currently on sale) with a sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #5. I stamped the hearts in red and embossed the sentiment on a strip of vellum to lay over the top.
The challenge is open until 24 Feb so there is plenty of time to play along and there are prizes too! The rest of the DT have fabulous ideas to share with you over at Uniko and we are joined by Izzy as guest designer this month too - do check out her great blog Izzy Scrap :)
Thanks for stopping by,

Hello!

Here are the couple of cards that I made:
I stamped the beautiful Uniko tea cup 3 times across my card and filled in the white space with a stencil (I think it is by Memory Box) in Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar. The sentiment is also Uniko. I wish that I had a vintage set of china tea cups....these paper versions will have to do!
Is it too early to start thinking about valentine's day?! I used the coffee cup from Uniko with a doughnut stamp and sentiment from Waltzingmouse. I pencil shaded the cup to give it the texture of kraft card and to add a touch of shading to ground them. A few hearts finish the design. My hubby LOVES doughnuts :)
I would have gone for an alcoholic drink but don't have any suitable stamps to use :/
I hope that you have fun with our challenge this week and do head over to the Less is More blog to check out the fabulous inspiration from our DT. See you again soon!

Uniko Revisit
Hello!
I am popping in today with a few cards made with the stamp set that we are featuring over at Uniko this month. After a long period of neglect, I have fallen back in love with Beautiful Blooms 1 - the stamps are such a good size and the flowers are gorgeous.
For my first card I used a layout that I often revert to for floral cards:

For my first card I used a layout that I often revert to for floral cards:
I white embossed the flowers and leaves - I think they have a lovely engraved look - on some bright cardstock. The sentiment is made using a combination of Uniko sentiments.
I thought that I would try using the stamps for a more muted, monochromatic look and stamped and inked the leaves in grey on a masked panel with an embossed flower popped on top.
I hope you like what you see and are inspired to get these fab floral stamps out for a play. The rest of the DT have more great ideas to share with you so head over to Uniko if you haven't hopped along with us. You can win this set and matching dies if you hop along with us!

Pottering in my Craft Room
Hello!
I should really have been sorting out and organising my craft room but seem to have made 2 cards instead! I shall claim that I was trying to use up scraps of card that were lying around even though I seem to have just added to the mess.....
It is my wonderful hubby's birthday today and I have made him this card using the (new to me) ninjas from Mama Elephant:

I die cut the numbers out of the card panel and added a few of the ninjas for a fun design. The starburst stamps are from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I will add this card in at Simon's Wednesday Challenge which is New Something as this was my first play with these stamps and at Simon's Monday Challenge which is Start Afresh with a new product.
I also made another card using some of the stitched landscape dies from Mama Elephant and one of the cute sheep from My Favourite Things. The design was inspired by the sketch over at Seven Hills Craft:
I need to get back to the clean up operation and cards that I have to make for various DT activites but it was nice to take some time out to have a potter in my craft room for a change!

Less Is More #310
Hello!
Well, we are now properly in to 2017 and back to the usual routines of school and work....and to our weekly Less is More Challenge. This week is a colour challenge and we are challenging you to use OMBRE (in any colour) on your designs. I came up with a few cards:
I was obviously still in blue and white mode with my second card which I created by masking a panel on the card base and inking the blues to create an ombre effect. The star is a another Memory Box die cut and the sentiment is from MFT. A few stars and gems complete the simple design.
I shall add this card at Simon's Wednesday Challenge which is New Something.
I hope you like my simple take on ombre - the DT have lots more great inspiration for you over at the Less is More blog. I look forward to seeing what you create this week!
Thanks, as always for stopping by :)

I created a blue ombre effect on a piece of cardstock using my trusty Distress Inks and cut a butterfly die cut from Memory Box from it. Simply adhered this to a card base and added a sentiment from Mama Elephant. I love the crisp look of blue and white together and the ombre effect creates a dreamy look.

Happy New Year
Hello!
I am just popping in to wish you a very happy new year :) I hope that you have had a fabulous festive season with family and friends and are looking forward to a positive year ahead! I don't usually make new year cards but felt the urge this year.....
I inked through a sunburst stencil from Clarity Stamps and stamped a sentiment from WPlus9 over the top. The top layer is popped up over a strip of gold glitter tape and grounded with a thin strip of black card.
A simple and CAS card from me which is my default style. However, I am going to stretch my creative boundaries this year by trying my hand at some mixed media. My lovely hubby has paid for me to do the year long Wanderlust class and I am really looking forward to trying out different techniques and styles of creating. I have been dabbling in an art journal over the course of this year and have found it to be a really effective way to relax and 'have a go'....I shall share a few of my early attempts with you shortly. I am hoping that the Wanderlust class will give me more inspiration and the courage to step out of my CAS comfort zone :) Are you planning on trying something different this year?
I shall link my card out at the Time Out Challenge which has a lovely word inspiration this week -
and at Simon's Monday Challenge where it is Party Time! You can't beat New Year's Eve for a party (although we are having a quiet night in this year.....). I will also link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge for a second time where Anything Goes.
I hope the New Year brings you everything that you hope for,
