The weeks are rolling by more quickly and we are at half term already. The boys will be glad to have a week off and then it will be all downhill to Christmas break :)
This week at Less is More we are looking for designs which use acetate or vellum. So many ways that you can go with this!
First up I coloured some acetate with alcohol inks and die cut it with a dragonfly die from Clearly Besotted. The top layer is cut from white card with a bit of added shimmer from Wink of Stella. The vines are die cut using a Penny Black stamp and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches (I think). The white panel is popped up on the card base with a few strips of glitter paper attached. The acetate does give the dragonfly's wings some translucency in real life!
I had to make a shaker card on a week where we are using acetate and this die from My Favourite Things makes that so easy to do! Sorry for the shadows on the photo :( The holly is Paper Smooches and I added glossy accents to the berry. The shaker is filled in with white and clear sequins.
I wanted to create using vellum too but ran out of time. I look forward to seeing what you make too. The DT have lots of fabulous creations to share with you over at Less is More :)
Thanks for stopping by,
Sarah x
I love the colours of your dragonfly card, Sarah. I can imagine how lovely the vellum looks in real life, and those glitter papers are a great little addition. And your Christmas shaker is great, not seen that die before. I recently picked up a similar holly die but it's much bigger, love those open leaves here xx
ReplyDeleteLove those colours on the first card, so cool and fresh and just perfect for the pretty dragonfly! The pop of glitter card out the bottom looks fantastic. The second card uses such a lovely die, really festive and eye catching in the bright red. Beautiful holly leaves too! Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely cards and I love your use of the acetate on both!
