Thank you for stopping by today as we start another challenge at Less is More :) This week we are making one layer cards and the theme is leaves.
This was a good opportunity to use a Neat and Tangled stamp which I have not inked up before:
I stamped and masked two leaves and coloured them with pencils. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
I decided to make a card just with the foliage images from Altenew's Beautiful Day set and stamped them in a wreath. The sentiment is from the same set.
A quick and simple post from me but I hope you like my two leafy designs. The talented DT have lots more ideas to share with you over at Less is More.
I hope you stop by again soon,
Sarah x
LOVE the greens on the leaves on the first card, Sarah. The shadowing around the centre veins looks great! Your idea of using just foliage stamps on the second card is so elegant and a really distinctive look. Fabulous! Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteMore fantastic colouring Sarah and all those wonderful tones of green look brilliant on the graphic leaf stamp. Another brilliant idea with the beautiful day set! Super elegant and classy design. Hope you're having a great weekend. x
ReplyDeleteFabulous shading of those geometric leaves and you did a wonderful job of getting the foliage to fit perfectly into a wreath design. Love the subtle colouring xx
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic, Sarah. The mod leaves are beautifully colored and turning those Altenew leaves into a wreath was such a great idea I may have to try it. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeletePerfect inspiration cards...two different styles and both super pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour colour pencil work on the first card is breathtaking Sarah and those leaves have a fab graphic look to them. It's a super CAS layout too. I think your idea of using just the foilage on the second card is tremendous! We all overlook those items in our stamp sets and you proved they can make such an elegant card.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Sarah ! I love this N&T stamp set ! And what a beautiful colouring, lately I also rediscovered the pleasure to colour with colour pencils ! Your wreath foliage is also very beautiful, what an awesome work ! thanks for sharing and for inspiring.
