Welcome to April :) Our first challenge of the month at Less is More is a colour challenge to use 3 pastels on your card. Pastels are perfect for spring although I don't tend to use them very often!
Here is what I came up with:
I think that pastels look pretty on new baby cards so I simply coloured this Memory Box die cut in soft pink, mint and yellow. A stitched die along each edge and a sentiment from MFT in grey complete the design. I will also link this card up at AAA Cards where the challenge is to use a die cut.
I used a new Hero Arts hydrangea stamp in pink, light blue and lilac to create a background on this card. It involved quite a lot of masking but creates a soft background image that doesn't overpower the design. The sentiment die cut is from MFT with additional stamped words from Uniko. I will also link this card up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.
I hope you like my two pastel designs and check out the rest of the great inspiration from the DT over at Less is More :) As we have started a new month we can also announce a new sponsor for April which is the fab Lili of the Valley.
Thanks for stopping by,
Sarah x
Oh my goodness, those hydrangeas <3 Too beautiful and such an eye catching background! Wow! And I love the colour combo on the first card too, really pretty and suiting the delicate lines of the die cut perfectly. Have a lovely weekend Sarah! x
ReplyDeleteI spy someone's been spending on a new stamp!!! Loving that hydrangea on the second one and it caught my eye too on a little shop visit but still trying to decide what to buy with a little Mother's Day voucher! Gorgeous baby card too and what perfect gentle colours and a stunning die. Thanks for linking that one up at AAA Cards. Have a good week. xx

ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Sarah ! Yes, definitely these pastel colours call for a baby card ! And this "mobile" (I don't know how you call it in English !) is so cute with these tiny hearts and stars and even more in pastel colours ! Your second card is superb with these soft hydrangeas (my favourite flower !), as you say, the fact that they are pastel colours the card is still very CAS ! I love this idea and I have to keep it in mind ! Thanks for sharing and for inspiring. Have a nice WE !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Sarah, the first one is simply adorable.

That baby mobile is perfect in those pastel colours and such a sweet card. But wow, your use of the hydrangea for a background is inspired, great masking too xx
ReplyDeleteTwo real beauties here Sarah! The baby mobile die cut is one I haven't seen before and it looks wonderful in those shades of pastel. Your second card is incredible with that fabulously soft background which complements the bold sentiment so well. Love it!!
