Hello!
Another busy week has hurtled by in a blur with hardly any time for crafting. However, this week at Less is More our challenge is geometric and that is a favourite theme of mine so I couldn't resist squeezing in a few cards!
First up I stamped some triangle stamps from Altenew in bright colours with the solid triangles creating a bit of extra depth on the card base.
On my second card I combined a soft stencilled geometric background from Stamplorations with the gorgeous Lily from Uniko. The sentiment is from Concord and 9th.
I will also link this up at Time Out as it combines elements from Hannelie's amazing card with the lily, warm colours and geometric background and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is a bit of sparkle as the lily is painted with twinkling H2Os which give it a rich shimmer and the geometric background was dusted with perfect pearls....although it doesn't show up much here!
The rest of the DT have lots of geometric inspiration over at Less is More along with our fabulous GD - Julie Beech from Crafted by Jules.
Thank you for stopping by,
Sarah x
I love everything about your triangles card. The colours, the positioning, the solid and outlines. A fabulous design. And the gentle geometric backdrop for your lily is beautiful. I hope next week is calmer for you, hugs xx
ReplyDeleteLove the lily against the soft stencilling and the fun, bright triangle on your first.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to be GD this week. :)
Two fabulous cards Sarah ! I love the design of the triangles card and the soft colours, love the two layers one with solid and the other one with outlines, very creative ! And this vibrant lily over the soft grey stencilled background is just stunning ! Great minds think alike, I used exactly the same lily stamp and colours yesterday to enter my card at Time Out ;-)) Thanks for telling me about the Uniko challenge for my triangles card...I will enter it ! Have a restful weekend and a quieter week ! xx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I just love that first card, what a really up to date design and I love the base card depth. The second card is so pretty with that gorgeous background.
ReplyDeleteboth cards are so CAS and striking! Love them both! Hope you are doing well! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “A Bit of Sparkle” Challenge! Beautiful colors and design. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love that stencil you used in your second card, I have it too and it's one of my favorite stencils. Who would have thought it looks so great also combined with this lily stamp. Thanks for inspiration! Your first card is just CAS perfection and I love the sweet pastel colors, it's a fun contrast to use "soft colors with hard edges" like triangles.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Both of these cards are the perfect inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic, Sarah! Love how you have the solid images peeking out behind the panel on opposite corners on your first card. Love the colours too. Your second card is stunning! The Lily is beautifully coloured and pops beautifully against that gorgeous stencilled BG. Love them. Have a great WE.
ReplyDeleteLoving your cards Sarah! The first card has a slight 80s vibe to it - I remember buying a set of hoop earrings in those exact shades of pink and aqua and totally loved them! Great design, really clean and impactful <3 Your second card with the lily is a beauty. The stencilling is such a stylish backdrop to the brighter yellow and red colours. Gorgeous! Have a fab weekend x
ReplyDeleteLOVE the triangle card! I have tried to do a "random" stamping of triangles before and just couldn't manage to stamp anything I liked...but this one...WOW!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards and adore the soft stencil used with the rich colours of the lily. Thanks for joining us at TO and thanks for my lovely Birthday card x
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards. Love the simplicity of the first card but adore the second card & the contrast of the flower against the grey background. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant cards again Sarah! The top card looks so light an airy with those unfilled triangles and the filled in ones on the card blank really grounds it all. Loving the sherbet colours you used. Then that glorious lily is so dramatic and vibrant against the soft geometric background. (I had to buy that lily when I saw that stamp set as they are my favourite flowers!) I bet it looks amazing in the shimmering H2Os xx
ReplyDeleteWow! Wonderful cards Sarah! Love them both!
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast between the geometric shapes with soft colors and the softness of the flower with vibrant colors.
Great inspirations!
Two beautiful cards Sarah !
ReplyDeleteI love the way my card inspired you! Thank you so much for playing along !
I'm running late with comments but here at last and what a perfect geometric duo you've created. Really made me smile at the gorgeous colour combo of those interlinked triangles on the first one. That Uniko lily is fast becoming one of my favourites and you've coloured it to perfection as always. Teamed with that subtle geometric BG adds the wow-factor! Hope you're week's going ok. x
ReplyDeleteCool and colourful triangles, Sarah ... and just the most delicious, beautifully coloured, shimmery lily against the geometric stencilled background! Hope life has slowed down a little for you! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your stencilled BG really makes the Lily pop. Stunning colouring and showcase of Uniko. Thank you & Hugs Bev x
