As July flies by in a blur we are back with another challenge to keep you on your crafty toes over at Less is More.
This week we want to see CAS designs which use stencils, dies and anything other than stamps. I have loads of dies and find myself using them increasingly on cards so that is what I used for this challenge:
I die cut the sentiment (Lil Inkers) from navy cardstock and added some of the fab Stamploration flower dies around it. The navy panel is popped up for some added dimension.
Using more of the same navy cardstock I die cut a flourish with a Sizzix die in mint green and attached it to the navy panel. A die cut sentiment from Penny Black completes the design.
Both very simple cards and quick to make as they didn't involve any particular skill, colouring etc. It is great to be able to use dies to get accurate and quick results!
I look forward to seeing what you make without stamps this week. The DT have more ideas to share with you over at Less is More.
See you again soon,
Sarah x
I agree with you, dies are great for quick cards... When you get your idea right at first that is! Your ideas have been great and I love both cards. I've been admiring these delicate flowers at STAMPlorations and I love the colors you used for them. The cut out Hi was a fun idea! Your second card has a wonderfully elegant look. Hugs! xxx
ReplyDeleteBoth fabulous, Sarah. You have a wonderful stash of dies. I adore the colour combos on these, particularly the second one. There's something so stylish about navy. And I want that thanks die! xx
ReplyDeleteSuper stylish makes! I love the navy theme, which really makes the florals pop on the first card, and goes so well with the mint on the second card. Beautiful "thanks" die cut too! Lovely cards <3 Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Sarah. Love the navy colour schemes and designs. . I have loads of dies too and yet I still want more. 😂 Have a great week. xx
ReplyDeleteThese are both so pretty. Love the colors and the layout!
ReplyDeleteTwo striking cards with that navy background which highlights even more the wonderful dies on both cards ! And I think that we'd all love to have this beautiful "thanks" die. Again a fabulous inspiration ! Have a wonderful weekend and a fab week ! x
ReplyDeleteTwo beauties of cards here Sarah and you really show how wonderful a card can be with just die cuts. The first one is terrific for it's use of the negative space for the 'hi' so close to the added foliage die cuts. And that script 'thanks' really suits the swirly die on the second card (fab colours on that one!) Love them both. xx
