Although we are in the midst of dashing around to get organised for going away on holiday this week, I couldn't resist having a mini play in my craft room to take part in some favourite and long neglected challenges....
First up is CASology - I had really wanted to play along last week when Melissa and the team were celebrating 5 successful years but ran out of time :( Here is what I have made for this week's challenge where the cue card is Juicy:
You just can't beat sweet strawberries! This stamp is from Waltzingmouse (no longer available). I simply masked and stamped 2 strawberries and added some pencil shading to the design. A CAS, one layer card :)
I also wanted to take part over at Time Out - I love the photo inspiration:
I was inspired by the world map and earthy browns and greys:
For both cards I used the Born to Roam stamp set from Stamplorations. I love the sketchy look of these designs. Given I am using Shery's fab products I shall also link up at Stamplorations Summer Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great week.
Sarah x
I came here because of your gorgeous cards featured on the Craft Stampers Magazine Uniko post, and then I get treated to a trio of fabulous cards. Your strawberries look so cool and juicy! Your world card is stunning and stylish. A really perfectly inspired card from the photo. And your final card is fun and beautifully stamped. So good to see you have time to craft for fun, Sarah. Love these. Trina xx

Those strawberries are brilliant, Sarah ... there's so much dimension and depth in your colouring ... I thought they were popped up! Cool, stylish and deliciously handsome masculine cards ... both great takes on our inspiration! Hope you're enjoying your holiday! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteAll your cards are wonderful - I love the juicy strawberries - your extra shading really gives them dimension.
