October Release - Sew Lovely and Plant a Garden!

Hello,

We are back with the second part of the previews for our October release of 4 stamp sets that will be available to buy from Funky Fossil from 9am tomorrow morning.  Yesterday we were featuring the christmas sets but today we have stamp sets that will work all year round - Sew Lovely and Plant a Garden.

Both sets are lots of fun to use....here are a few examples of what I have made with them:

I simply watercoloured and cut out the sewing machine and combined it with a detailed doily die from Studio Light.

A bit of masking and watercolouring on this one combined with the Fancy Trellis stencil at the bottom of the card.

However, don't take my word for how fun these stamp sets are - check out what the DT have made with them:

I am so excited to hear what you think of these 4 new stamp sets.  Do come back tomorrow for our release day celebration - each of the DT have a stamp set of your choice from the new release to give away :)  The stamps will be on sale from 9am UK time.

Thanks for stopping by,

Fancy Trellis Stencil

Hello!

Are you getting ready for the easter weekend?  It should be nice and warm here in the UK (for a change) so I can't wait to have a break and enjoy some sunshine :)  Today I have a couple of cards to share with you which feature a new stencil - Fancy Trellis.

I have been quite soft and delicate on my first card to play along at Less is More where the theme is to use subtle colours:

I inked the stencil up with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide and used it behind a circle aperture.  The die cut butterfly is from Concord and 9th and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  I shall also link up at Happy Little Stamper's die challenge where anything goes.

On my second card I inked the stencil through a circle aperture with Crushed Olive distress oxide and added a touch of shading around the edges of the circle.  I used my Boho Blooms stamp for the little cluster of flowers and a sentiment from Catherine Pooler.

I shall link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where the theme is Beautiful Blooms and at Inkspirational where the current challenge is to pop it up.  The cluster of flowers is popped up on foam pads to provide a bit of contrast to the trellis background.

The stencil and stamps are available in my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk
