New DT and Discount :)

Hello!

Amidst all of the excitement of introducing you to our fabulous new DT yesterday, I forgot to post a card that I have made for the current challenge over at Less is More where the theme is Typography.  This seemed like the perfect excuse to make a card with my Fa La La stamp set which has bold Christmas sentiments:

I simply white heat embossed the sentiment on to dark blue card and die cut a circle.  I softly inked my Poinsettia stencil in the background in shades of blue distress oxide.

While I was here, I wanted to share some more amazing creations from the new DT.  Each of them has a 15% discount code on their blog or insta account which you can use at checkout before midnight on Monday :)

I am so grateful to these talented ladies for taking the time to make beautiful things with my stamps and stencils.  Here are a few of the products used above:

Stencil and Alcohol Ink

Hello!

I hope that you have been enjoying your weekend.  I haven't had much time to get in to the craft room recently but the new challenge at CAS Stencil had me intrigued so I had to give it a go!

This month's challenge hosted by Cathy is to use alcohol inks/alcohol lift with your stencils.  Here is what I made:

I created a rainbow style background on yupo with alcohol inks and placed my leafy mandala stencil over the top before applying alcohol lift ink with a foam applicator.  It took a little while to do - the stencil was hinged on the paper so that I could lift it to check progress and see where more ink needed to be applied.  When you lift the stencil and wipe over with kitchen towel, the image becomes much clearer.  I was pleased with the effect - it looks like a tie die fabric!

I simply placed the yupo behind a circle aperture and sponged some distress inks lightly around the frame so it looks as if the colours are bleeding out. The sentiment is from MFT.

I shall also link up at Time Out Challenges where the word inspiration is - With freedom, flowers and the moon who could not be happy? and at Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge where the challenge is to use negative space.

Here is the stencil that I used which is available to buy from my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk:

Sunday Crafting

Hello!

I hope that you have been enjoying the easter weekend....the weather in the UK has been glorious :)  Even though I have been trying to tidy up in the garden, I have spent a bit of time in my craft room to keep cool and these are the cards that I have made:

I used my new Leafy Mandala stencil with some Nuvo glitter texture paste in peridot green and added a sentiment from MFT.  I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where we have a spring mood board to inspire us.  I will also join in for a second time at CAS Stencil challenge where we are using embossing paste and at The Male Room Challenge where Anything Goes.

On my second card I used my new Confetti Sprinkles stencil to create a background for this Altenew cupcake.  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.

I shall link this card up at Seize the Birthday where Anything Goes.

I hope you like these cards - here are the stencils that I used:

Remember, I have 15% off everything in store until midnight on Monday (GMT) when you use the code EGG15.  You can find all of my stencils at www.funkyfossil.co.uk.
