September Stamp Release - Introducing Time for Tea

 Hello!

We are on to our second day of introducing the five new stamp sets that will be released for sale on Saturday this week!  Today is an A6 stamp set featuring quirky teapots and tea cups which will be great for all of those tea and coffee lovers out there!

Here are a few examples of what I have made with them:

I've created a stack of cups with a bit of masking and combined the stamps with our Knitted Background stencil.

I used our Floral Background stencil to create the heart on this card.

I do love these stamps - they are so cute to work with :) The rest of the DT have also got great designs to share with you using this set:

Here is the stamp set:

I hope you will stop by again tomorrow when we introduce our third set from the release :)

New DT and Discount :)

Hello!

Amidst all of the excitement of introducing you to our fabulous new DT yesterday, I forgot to post a card that I have made for the current challenge over at Less is More where the theme is Typography.  This seemed like the perfect excuse to make a card with my Fa La La stamp set which has bold Christmas sentiments:

I simply white heat embossed the sentiment on to dark blue card and die cut a circle.  I softly inked my Poinsettia stencil in the background in shades of blue distress oxide.

While I was here, I wanted to share some more amazing creations from the new DT.  Each of them has a 15% discount code on their blog or insta account which you can use at checkout before midnight on Monday :)

I am so grateful to these talented ladies for taking the time to make beautiful things with my stamps and stencils.  Here are a few of the products used above:

Stencilling through apertures

Hello,

I wanted to share a few cards that I have made by using my stencils through an aperture.  I like the effect that this creates in terms of producing a focal point with a background stencil pattern.

Here I inked my Knitted Background stencil in Stormy Sky distress ink through a heart stencil shape.  I combined it with a sweet image from Mama Makes which has been watercoloured.  I shall link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where the theme is stamping as part of the fab Stamptember celebrations.

On this card I inked through a circle aperture using my Geometric Flower stencil and used that with Uniko's bold hello stamp.

Simple inking and an aperture can give a different look to the stencils.  You can find them in my Folksy store:

Thank you, as always, for stopping by :)

Getting Cosy

Hello!

How is your week going?  Well, I hope :)  The summer heatwave continues so it feels very unseasonal to be making cards featuring my new knitted background stencil!  Knitwear is the furthest thing from my mind at the moment but the chilly weather will be back again before we know it.

Here are a few of the designs that I have made with the stencil:

I inked through the stencil in shades of coral and warm yellow and added a wool stamp from Neat and Tangled.  I cut the ball out separately and gave it some curved shape and dimension as well as adding a bit of pencil shading for added definition.

On this card I inked the knitted stencil through a heart aperture and added a touch of shading around the edges of the heart to create a focal point on the card base.  The sweet sentiment is from Inkydoodles.

I hope you like these woolly designs - no knitwear involved!

Thanks for stopping by,

Sarah x
