Autumnal Thanks

Hello!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.  I can't believe that we have arrived in September already....However it has got me in the mood for making fall and christmas cards.  Here is an autumnal card that I have made using my Forest Foliage stencil:

I pounced through the stencil with flitterglu on dark brown cardstock and used gilding flakes to bring out the design.  I distressed the edges and added some corrugated card, twine and a lovely leaf die cut from Neat and Tangled.  The sentiment is from MFT.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes and at Simon's Monday Challenge where the theme is Autumn.

This is a beautifully detailed stencil which can be used with inks, paints and pastes.  I love the effect that the gilding flakes give!  You can find it in my Folksy store.

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge

Hello!

Can you believe that we are in August already?!  It is time for another challenge at Craft Stamper - Anything Goes as long as your project features stamping.

I wanted to take the opportunity to use one of the gorgeous stamps that I have just received from the talented Lesia Zgharda stamps.  I love the delicate detail of the designs....I would like to buy up the whole store!

I stamped the lovely focal image in dark navy ink and then inked through my Forest Foliage stencil in black ink on dark blue card.  I clear embossed the image and die cut a circle from the centre.  The sentiment is from My Favourite Things.

I hope you like this card and join us for the August challenge at Craft Stamper :)

A New Colour Combo

Hello!

There is a new challenge over at Less is More which is to use a colour combo of olive and tangerine.  When taking refuge from the heat today, I decided to give it a go as it is not a combination that I would have thought of using....

I used it on my new Floral Circle stencil:

I simply inked the stencil with distress inks, adding elements of shading.  I then clear embossed over the top to give it a glazed look.  I die cut the stencilled panel out with a circle die and adhered it to the front of the card with foam tape.  I was really pleased with how this turned out!

I shall also link up at Just Us Girls where the word this week is Citrus.  The zingy orange and olive shades are my interpretation.

Next up I inked through my Forest Foliage stencil to create a shaded background combined with a gorgeous butterfly die from Sizzix.  The sentiment is from Crafters Companion.

This is such a pretty colour combo....definitely one to use again!

As always, you can find my stencils in my Folksy store.  Today I used:

Flying By

Hello!

I have been eyeing up the lovely tropical leaf and parrot stamp set from Altenew for ages and decided to get it last week whilst we were having a brief spell of warm weather :)  I thought the parrot would go well with my Forest Foliage stencil and this is what I made with them:

I simply stamped and masked the parrot before inking the foliage stencil through a circle mask and lightly inked round the edge to give the circle soft definition.  I coloured the parrot with spectrum noir pencils and added an Altenew sentiment from the iris set.  I have been so busy playing with stencils that it is ages since I coloured anything in with pencils....it took me ages to unearth them from under a load of other crafty supplies!  I shall link up at Less is More where the theme is Bring it Back and at Seize the Birthday where the theme is vibrant colours.

I hope you like my tropical design :)  The stencil is available in my Folksy store.

Thanks for stopping by,
