Cute Laundry

Hello!

I have literally just returned from 3 sunny weeks in Spain with my family.  We feel very rested and I have not quite reconciled myself to the prospect of returning to the daily work routine!  The only thing that I missed while I was sitting on my sun lounger reading all day was my craft room so when I got back my first thought was to play along with my Less is More teamies for their latest challenge which is to use a real object on your CAS design.

I had just bought some cute MFT dies and sentiments before I went on holiday so this is that I made with them:

I inked some clouds in the background and die cut the sweet onesie and bibs.  I separated a mini clothes peg to create the pegs at either end of the clothes line.  I like the slightly non traditional new baby sentiments in the MFT set :)

While I am here I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge this week which is Anything Goes.

I hope you have had a good summer.....I guess that I should start thinking about Christmas cards now!

Playing Along....

Hello,

Although we are in the midst of dashing around to get organised for going away on holiday this week, I couldn't resist having a mini play in my craft room to take part in some favourite and long neglected challenges....

First up is CASology - I had really wanted to play along last week when Melissa and the team were celebrating 5 successful years but ran out of time :(  Here is what I have made for this week's challenge where the cue card is Juicy:

You just can't beat sweet strawberries!  This stamp is from Waltzingmouse (no longer available).  I simply masked and stamped 2 strawberries and added some pencil shading to the design.  A CAS, one layer card :)

I also wanted to take part over at Time Out - I love the photo inspiration:

I was inspired by the world map and earthy browns and greys:

For both cards I used the Born to Roam stamp set from Stamplorations.  I love the sketchy look of these designs.  Given I am using Shery's fab products I shall also link up at Stamplorations Summer Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great week.
