Less is More #314

Welcome to an exciting month over at Less is More as we celebrate our 6th birthday!!  I have only been on the DT for the last year but it has been lots of fun and I feel very lucky to be part of such a fab crafty community.....thank you for all of your comments and support.

What do you think of our new blog design, by the way?  Sarah, Sharon and Esther have done amazing work behind the scenes to give us a makeover and I hope you agree that it is perfectly CAS :)

I hope you will stay with us all month as we have four fabulous sponsors celebrating with us and this week it is Happy Little Stampers which means that the lovely Kylie is joining us as GD.

Our challenge this week is to use 3 adjacent colours on the colour wheel.

I came up with a couple of cards:
I used a sizzix butterfly die and coloured the base in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Very simple - I just liked the pop of colour on the butterfly :)

Next I sprayed some green and blue inks on to a square panel and popped half of the globe die over the top.  The sentiment is from Concord and 9th.
The DT have lots of fab inspiration for you this week (as usual) along with our GD, Kylie.  I hope you have the time to play along with us as we celebrate this LIM milestone :)
See you soon!
Sarah x

  1. Love the blue and green spritz, lovely work. But that butterfly, wow! That blend of colours is beautiful, and great choice of font too xx

  2. Oh WOW! Love, Love, Love. I'd been swooning over that gorgeous butterfly but then jaw has just dropped to the ground at your spritzing work and what a brilliant design there. Sarah you are on fire with mojo and ideas right now! Have a great weekend. Sarah x

  3. Super cards! I do like the simplicity of the bold butterfly. But it's the second card that I just love! xx

  4. Super cards Sarah... the first looks really dramatic!
Thanks for all your inspirational work for LIM... long may it continue!
    Chrissie xx

  5. Gorgeous butterfly card. You coloured it beautifully.

  6. The richness of that butterfly is so incredibly dramatic Sarah but your fading to nothing spritzing has taken my heart. Awesome technique and such a cool design too. Have a great week xx

  7. Wow..both cards are amazing. Love the color combinations!

  8. That butterfly...! <3 What a fabulous, elegant design, and I ADORE the vivid colours! The world card is so creative and has a wonderfully loose feel to it - very much like you could just get up and go travelling... just like that! It's so evocative. Fab cards! Have a lovely week x

  9. Your butterfly is gorgeous, Sarah, and I love the sprayed background.

  10. Two gorgeous cards, lovely colours on both,
