Hearts and Flowers

Hello!

I hope that you have had a wonderful christmas and are gearing up for the new year festivities :)

In case you didn't know I have a sale on at my online shop - funkyfossil.co.uk - where everything is 25% off when you use the code FFSALE25 before 7 Jan.  That includes a discount on new stencils that I have been working with over the last few days.  I am always adding new designs to the store!

Here is one of them - this new Floral Lace Heart stencil has lovely detail and can be used as a stand alone element or within the stencil frame that comes with it.

I simply sprayed over the stencil with Abandoned Coral and Fossilised Amber Distress Sprays, mopped up the excess and, once dry, stamped the bold sentiment from Hobby Arts.  A simple and striking card which is easy to make!

On this next card I placed the floral heart in its stencil aperture so that I could use it with texture paste on wood veneer.

Once dry, I die cut the heart and die cut the sentiment from wood veneer too - the sentiment is from Stamplorations.

I will link up at Time Out where the theme is celebrate, family, life, and friends and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

I hope you like them and stop by my shop to pick up some stencils in the sale :)

Teal Joy

Hello,

I am just stopping by with a christmas card that I have made using my layered christmas tree and shooting stars stencils - yes, I am still making christmas cards!  I don't think that I am going to get enough made this year :(

I inked through the base tree with peacock feathers and then went over the striped layer with sparkle texture paste.  I then cut the tree out, attached to the snowy ground.  I silver heat embossed the shooting star stencil on the base card panel and combined it with an mdf star.  The sentiment is from Concord and 9th.

I shall link up at Time Out for a second time as this fits with their joyful theme and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is christmas.

I hope you like this glittery christmas card!

Thanks for stopping by,

Christmas Cards

Hello!

I wanted to share a few of my Christmas cards with you which feature laser cut mdf ornaments that I have made.  They can be detached from the card itself after Christmas and kept as a decoration.

Patterned paper combined with a simple sentiment completes the design.  I shall link up at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge where the optional twist is snow.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Christmas and at Inkspirational where Anything Christmas Goes.

I hope you like these designs :)

Uniko December Release

Hello!

How exciting....Uniko has a cheeky December release going live at 9pm today :)  There are two fab stencil designs and three stamp sets.  I have had lots of fun playing with all of them and here are a few of the things that I have made:

I used the wonderful In the Forest stencil with green glitter paste with one of my mdf christmas trees and a sentiment from Uniko.

I inked the snowflake stencil with cracked pistachio and tumbled glass distress oxides along with the fab Big and Bold Snow sentiment.  I added a few nuvo drops dusted with glitter.

I inked the Wonderful Day florals in the corner of the card panel - i love the quirky doodly look of these flowers :)

I white embossed the snowflake serenade stamp on vellum, cut it out and wound it round the die cut joy sentiment (from Concord and 9th).  I shall link this card up at Time Out where the challenge is Joy.

I have more designs to share with you over the next few days but am conscious that the fab DT have lots more inspiration to share with you on the release blog hop.  If you comment along the hop you will be in with a chance to win the entire release!

Enjoy the release :)

All in Blue

Hello!

I hope your week has got off to a good start.  I wanted to stop by to share a cute stencil that I made this weekend - these mini daschunds are so much fun :)

I inked them up in Faded Jeans distress oxides and stamped a punny sentiment with an old wooden alphabet set that I have - I like the quirky look that it gives!

I shall link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where the prompt is 'B is For' - in my case, B is for blue!!  I will also link up at Time Out where the challenge is to use black, white and one colour.

You can find the stencil in my online store....

I have a 10% discount off everything in the store this week while I am the sponsor of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Just quote COFFEE10 at checkout :)

One Layer Christmas

Hello,

The challenge over at Less is More is to create a one layer christmas card.  Stencils are perfect for one layer cards so I decided to use my Geometric Star stencil through an ornament aperture:

I simply die cut 2 different sizes of a bauble out of some acetate to use as a temporary stencil and inked through it using my geometric star pattern.  I used Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch distress oxides.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the small highlight stamps are from Uniko's Seeing Stars stamp set.

I shall also link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

You can find this geometric star stencil in my online shop :)

Thanks for stopping by,
