Pastel Heart

Hello,

A quick post from me with a card that I have made featuring my new scrolls background stencil which I have combined with a heart aperture:

I simply inked through the stencil with Tattered Rose and Pumice Stone Distress Oxides and added a sentiment from Mama Elephant.

I think that this soft and delicate colour combo works really well!  I will link up at Inkspirational as I was inspired by the hearts and soft pinks in the inspiration photo.  I will also link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where Love is in the Air!

That's it from me for today.  You can find all of the stencils that I have for sale in my shop: www.funkyfossil.co.uk.

See you again soon,

Uniko Challenge #51

Hello!

I am popping in with a reminder card for the first Uniko challenge of the year.  As usual it is Anything Goes but with an optional twist of Love.

Given that valentine's day is just around the corner I decided to go down the romantic route!

I simply stamped and masked Uniko's beautiful rose image several times within a heart aperture and then added some inky shading around the edge.  I used Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick.  With a heart mask in place I then stamped out the leaves on either side.  I love the line art on these roses but don't always have the time (or skill!) to colour them.  However, using them like this is a great alternative.

I shall link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where Love is in the Air and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

You have until 22 Feb to play along and you can see more inspiration from members of the DT over on the Uniko blog.  Have fun!

Thanks for stopping by,

CAS Stencil Design

Hello!

Just stopping by with a simple card using a couple of my stencils - geo circle and floral lace heart:

The heart has been coloured using alcohol inks and then some of the ink has been lifted using alcohol lift ink through the floral lace stencil.  The geo circle provides a frame for the heart.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Clean and Simple and at the fab new CAS Stencil Challenge where we are sponging through our stencils.  I have sponged through the geo circle and then moved it slightly before sponging again to create a slightly layered look.

I hope you like the card and are inspired to play with your stencils this weekend :)

Folk Birds on Kraft

Hello!

A couple of weeks ago I shared a card made using my new folk birds stencil in soft blue and red.  When I saw that the challenge at Inkspirational is to use kraft I decided to see what the stencil would look like against a different base colour.

I ran over the stencil with white gloss paste on kraft card and really like the effect!  I added some muted, rustic elements with grey corrugated card and twine to complete the design.

By way of contrast, here is the previous card that I shared with the folk birds:

I will also link up at Seize the Birthday although I haven't used the optional topping.

You can buy the folk birds stencil over at my shop: www.funkyfossil.co.uk

Thanks for stopping by :)

Quirky Lightbulb

Hello!

I hope that your week is going well :)  I am just popping in with a fun card that I have made to play along with the current challenge at Less is More where the theme is water.

I have inked up my new Lightbulb Aperture stencil and combined it with my Messy Rainbows stencil to create this card:

I thought that the messy rainbows looked like waves so decided to create a ship in a lightbulb scene!  The lovely ship is from Waltzingmouse Stamps (discontinued) and it is combined with a sentiment from Stamplorations.  The bulb is inked with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass distress oxides.

I shall also link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where we are using something new.  The lightbulb stencil is a new item in my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Vintage Love

Hello!

A very quick post with a one layer card that I made last night using a fab stamp set from Visible Image combined with my confetti hearts stencil:

I shall link up for a second time at Time Out where the theme for the current challenge is Loving and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge for Something New as this is a new stamp set for me :)

I really like the effect that the masked stencilling gives to the card.  As with all of my stencils you can get Confetti Hearts at my online shop - www.funkyfossil.co.uk.

Bye for now,

Heart in Blue

Hello!

I hope that 2019 has got off to a good start for you :)

I have inked up my new Floral Lace Heart stencil to create a card in blue:

I inked through the aperture in Salty Ocean Distress Oxide and then laid the lacy floral detail back in to the aperture and inked in Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire to add depth.  I added a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays stamps.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Something New as both the sentiment and stencil are new.  I will also link up at Time Out where the theme is Loving and at The Male Room Challenge where the cue is Blue.

The stencil is available in my online store:

Everything in store is available with 25% off when you use the code FFSALE25 before 7 Jan :)
