Sparkly Stencils

Hello!

I have had lots of time in my craft room this weekend so have had the chance to play with some of the new stencils that I have been adding to the store.  I just love the versatility of stencils for backgrounds, focal points, and using with a whole range of media :)

Here is a card that I made with the new geometric circles stencil:

I masked off a panel on a piece of white cardstock and went over the stencil with Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium in Lapis Blue.  I shall link up at The Male Room Challenge where we are adding numbers to our cards and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Birthdays.

I went for an even more dramatic look on this card by stencilling through my Bold Damask stencil with Nuvo gold texture paste on black card.  The sentiment is gold embossed on vellum and is by MFT :)

I have a 3 for 2 offer in store at the moment which is due to end at midnight tonight, GMT.  Just quote the code HAPPY at checkout.

Lots of Happy!

Hello!

For those of you in the UK, I hope you are enjoying a good bank holiday weekend :)  I have a 3 for 2 offer going on in my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk - until midnight tomorrow 6 May.  You will get one item for free when you order any three or more stencils, stamps or mdf from the shop when you use the code HAPPY at checkout.

I thought that I would make a happy card to celebrate using one of my new stencils - Elegant Fans:

I have simply coloured it with shades of blue to create an ombre effect and combined it with one of the bold sentiment dies from Winnie and Walter.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where we are celebrating birthdays and at Seize the Birthday.

Check out my range of stencils and other crafty items over at www.funkyfossil.co.uk - this weekend is a good time to try them out :)

Uniko Release Day Blog Hop!

Hello,

At last the day has arrived when Uniko is releasing its most recent collection of stamps, dies and stencils.  It is a great release....I love the mid century modern vibe that Bev has used :)

Here is a range of samples that I made with the wonderful products from the range:

I inked a soft bokeh background with my bokeh builder stencil before stamping the fabulous Mid Century Modern Florals in black.  I combined with a Uniko birthday sentiment from a previous release.

I love this Background block - it is so retro and cool!  I simply masked a panel on the card front and stamped the background repeatedly (it is easy to join up) and then coloured in.  Again another Uniko sentiment completes the design.  I shall link this card up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where we are celebrating birthdays.

Finally I stamped the other background repeatedly on a card panel before die cutting the large wish sentiment repeatedly and stacking it up over the top of a circle.

I hope that you have enjoyed all of the introducing posts this week and are looking forward to getting your hands on these wonderful products!  They are available to buy from Uniko at 9pm GMT today.  The rest of the DT are hopping along to celebrate the release today so there is a lot more to see :)

Thanks for stopping by,

Uniko Introducing Big and Bold Wish Designer Dies

Hello!

It is the final day of our showcase of products from the new Uniko release which is due to go live tomorrow, Sunday 5 May!  Bev bought out the Big and Bold Happy die recently and has followed up with Wish for this release.  It is a great size and adds real impact to your design.  Of course, it matches the size of the stamp set perfectly :)

I made a very simple card featuring the sentiment and Uniko's Confetti Stencil:

Quick and easy but the large sentiment gives the card a strong focal point.

The rest of the DT have brilliant ideas for using this new die and we will all be back tomorrow with the release day blog hop.

See you then!

Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2019

Hello!

The time for the fabulous Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop has arrived!

I am delighted to be taking part again as a sponsor and there are loads of amazing companies and cardmakers taking part as always.  I will be giving away a £15 voucher to my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk - to one person who leaves a comment on this blog post who will be picked at random once the hop closes on 10 May :)

Unfortunately I have been ill all week and didn't get the chance to make some of the cards that I had planned for the hop so I am recycling a few of my previous makes.  Hopefully I will get the chance to play catch up over the weekend!

These cards were made using my coffee bean and tea cup stencils.....

ETA: I got a little chance after work today to use my new coffee cup silhouette stencil.  It is super simple but provides a great aperture for coffee themed cards.  Here is what I made:

The sentiment dies on both cards are from the fab Stamplorations :)

I won't detain you any longer as you have some serious hopping to do!  I hope that you have fun :)

Thanks for stopping by - remember to leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning £15 credit to my store!

Uniko Introducing.....stencil

Hello!

We are back with another introducing post in the lead up to the fab new Uniko release on Sunday, 5 May.  Today we are looking at the stencil which is coming out....it fits perfectly with the mid-century modern theme that Bev has developed for this release and is a larger version of one of the background blocks.

I think that the stencil and stamp work perfectly together.

I went over the stencil with gold embossing paste before sprinkling embossing powders over it.  I heated them to create a distressed, raised effect.  I combined the stencil with the background stamp and with the Big and Bold designer die that we will be looking at tomorrow.

On this second card, I stamped the background block several times before going over the top with the stencil and black glitter paste.  I thought that this classic Uniko sentiment worked well with the graphic look.

I hope that you will enjoy the inspiration that the DT have put together for you.  We are back tomorrow for the last introducing post before release day!

Thanks for stopping by,

Uniko Introducing Sketched Foliage and English Country Garden Designer Dies

Hello!

This is our second day of introducing products in the fab new release from Uniko which will be available to buy from this Sunday, 5 May!  It is a genuinely amazing release....there are so many new favourites in there!

Today I have two cards to share which showcase the fab sketched foliage which is a large background stamp and the dies that Bev is bringing out to go with the beautiful butterflies from the English Country Garden set:

I effectively stamped the foliage in Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide on a mop up watercolour background.  I stamped out the butterfly and used the new die to cut it out and finished with a Uniko sentiment.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge which is all about birthdays and at Seize the Birthday - anything goes.

The sketch style of the foliage makes it really forgiving and something that you can layer up or stamp repeatedly to create an even larger background.

On this second card I heat embossed the foliage as a resist for a blended distress ink background:

The rest of the fab DT have more inspiration to share with you over at the Uniko blog.  We will be back tomorrow with more elements of the release to share....I hope to see you then!
