Waltzingmouse Pajama Party

Yay - it's time for another pajama party at Waltzingmouse Stamps!

I haven't had time to play along with each of the party challenges this month but have made this card for Challenge 3 - Old Pajamas:

I was obviously influenced by the scandi theme from the first challenge with this design....I embossed an Imagination Craft stags head and stamped Waltzingmouse's Nordic Winter into the shape.  I sponged Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap around the edge of the stencil to give the shape more definition.

I decided not to add a sentiment to the front of the card and keep it simple!

I will also link up at CASology where the cue card is Festive.

I hope you like it :)

  1. Wow! This is awesome! I am trying to work out how you did this? Is this a stencil or an embossing folder? I love the dimension that you have with that stag head, but don't know how you managed to ink the edges of the image if it has been created with an embossing folder? I absolutely LOVE the Scandinavian feel it has, and definitely reminds me of a warm pair of PJs 😊. Love how you have left it sans sentiment so that the gorgeous image gets all the glory!

    1. It is really easy - believe me! The stags head is a stencil so I just embossed it on white card to raise the image and then stamped and inked through the stencil aperture. I found that I had to emboss the image as the stamps weren't making contact with the card until it was raised up. Does that make sense?!

  8. Brilliant technique, still trying to get my head around it but maybe I just need to try it out. It looks fantastic and doesn't need a sentiment at all. Gorgeous!!
