Sunshine and clouds

Hello!

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend and, if in the UK, had a lovely Mothers Day!  I have spent the day with my sweet mum...it has been a wet day but we have crafted and laughed all day :)

I have made a card inspired by both Inkspirational where the cue is Clouds and at Less is More where the challenge theme is Shine a Light.  This is made with 2 stencils:

I will link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge as well where Anything Goes.

I simply inked through clouds to create a cloudy sky and cut round the edge.  I popped the cloudy panel up over the stencilled sunrays to add some dimension.

I used a couple of stencils to create this card and they are both available to buy at www.funkyfossil.co.uk.  There is currently 15% off everything in store until midday on 1 April when you use the code MUM15.

Hope Blooms

Hello!

It is the weekend already and I can't believe that we have got to the end of March already :)  With Spring well and truly in the air, I decided to make another card with my Boho Flowers stamp set.  This time, I have teamed them up with my Lightbulb aperture stencil:

I stamped the flowers through the stencil and coloured them with pencils.  I inked lightly around the bulb to give the shape some definition and stamped the sentiment inside.

I shall link up at Addicted to Stamps where the theme is Spring and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

I hope you like this design.  I love stamping or stencilling into apertures, they often give a different perspective to the design :)

Both the stencil and stamp set are for sale in my online store: www.funkyfossil.co.uk - head over to see the range of products that are available.

Sleepy Fox

Hello!

I wanted to stop by today with another card made using my Quick Brown Fox stamp set.  I have kept it really CAS to work with the current challenge at AAA Cards where we are using a single image plus the optional twist of spring:

I simply stamped and masked the sleeping fox and inked around him with Tumbled Glass and Crushed Olive distress oxides.  I coloured the fox in with pencils and added a sentiment.

I hope that you like this simple design.

I will also link up at Simon Wednesday's Challenge where the theme is Cute.

You can buy the stamp set from my online store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk

Geometric Dragonfly

Hello!

I am just stopping by with a quick post to share a card that I have made using one of my new stencils - a geometric dragonfly design.  It has simply been inked through with distress inks:

The sentiment is from Tracey Hey for Alpaca Pals.

I shall link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where the theme is Tiny Things/Miniature.

I hope you like this stencil which is available to purchase in my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk

Sweet Unicorn

Hello!

I hope that your week is going well :)  I couldn't help but make another card using one of the stamps from my new Chubby Unicorns set.  These illustrations by Kimma from Le Petite Market are just so cute!

I went over my Floral Background stencil with pink cosmic shimmer texture paste and placed it behind a heart aperture.

I will link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is cute and for a second time at Time Out where we are celebrating their fifth birthday with cards on a birthday theme.  I will also link up at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies.

Here is the stamp set that is available in my shop - www.funkyfossil.co.uk:

A Simple Bloom

Hello!

I wanted to make a really simple and CAS card with my Boho Flowers stamp set and decided to play along with the current challenge at AAA Cards, where the challenge is to use a single image with the optional twist of Spring.

Here is my card:

I simply stamped the semi wreath and coloured it with pencils.  I think it works well for the spring theme too!  I hope that you like this CAS design :)

This is one of three new stamp sets which I have just released in my online shop -www.funkyfossil.co.uk

Optical Illusion

Hello!

I hope that your week has got off to a good start :)  Today, I am sharing a card that I made with one of my new stencils - this Orb design creates a fab optical illusion on your card.

I inked it up in shades of green distress ink, getting paler towards the centre to emphasise the dimension and combined it with a simple sentiment from MFT.  A very quick card to make!  I shall link up at The Male Room Challenge where the theme is Gorgeous Greens.

Here is the stencil which is available in my online shop - www.funkyfossil.co.uk.

CAS Stencil Challenge

Hello!

As someone who makes and sells stencils, I am a big fan of the CAS Stencil Challenge run by the talented Loll :)  This month the focus is on using the ghosting technique with your stencil and I decided to create a watery scene:

I scribbled blue and green gelatos on to a piece of card and blended them with some water.  Once dry, I laid my droplets background stencil over the top and rubbed through it with a wet wipe, removing some of the colour.  I simply added a fab MFT fish and sentiment to complete the design.

I had completely forgotten about this technique so the challenge was a great prompt to try it again!

This is the stencil that I used:

Bloom

Hello!

I have been playing with my new stamps and today I have some more cards to share with the Boho Flowers set:

This is a Clean and Simple design with the semi wreath stamped twice and coloured with pencils.  I shall link up at The Flower Challenge for a third time where Anything Goes and at Addicted to Stamps where the theme is Spring.

On this card I simply white heat embossed the cluster stamp in each of the four corners on kraft card and added a touch of green pencil.

I painted one of my mdf hearts with chalk paint and white heat embossed the flower cluster, masking to build up the design.  It looks lovely and fresh on the pale blue heart.

This stamp set is available in my online store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk:

I hope you like them :)

Hello!

The 3 stamp sets that I have been showing to you over the past few days are now available for sale in my shop - www.funkyfossil.co.uk.  Here they are:

Chubby Unicorns, £8.50

Boho Flowers, £8.50

The Quick Brown Fox, £8.50

Here are a few more cards that I have made with these stamps:

I went full on rainbow for this little unicorn and added some rainbow stripes to his back!  The star is by The Ton and I simply heat embossed it in several colours.  I shall link up at Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge which is Special Day and at Time Out where Sandie and the fab DT are celebrating 5 years with an inspired by words birthday theme - congrats!

Here I masked and stamped to create a cluster of flowers and succulents.  I shall link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where the theme is Girly/Feminine

Finally the Quick Brown Fox is standing in the foliage that I have added with my shrubbery stencil.

I hope you like these stamps.  I have to thank Kimma from Le Petite Market and Linda from Brightwater Studio for being so generous with their talent and illustrations.

Introducing The Quick Brown Fox

Hello!

I am releasing three stamp sets in my shop tomorrow.  The Quick Brown Fox is the 3rd set that I want to introduce you to.  Again, it features wonderful illustrations by the talented Kimma from Le Petite Market.

I have two cards to share with you that I have made with these stamps:

I have combined the sleeping fox with my mdf wreath and leaves .

On this card I combined the running fox with some foliage from the Boho Flowers set.  I used a loose watercolour in keeping with the doodly style of the illustration.  I shall link up at Addicted to CAS where the code word is Fluffy....I'm not sure if foxes count as fluffy, but they are furry :)  I will also link up at Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge for March which is Special Day.

The stamps will be available for sale from my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk from 9am UK time.  I hope you will come by and check them out!

Introducing Boho Flowers

Hello!

I shared some new stamp designs that I am planning to release on Thursday this week with you on Saturday.  Today I have my new Boho Flowers set to show you:

These designs were drawn by Linda from the Brightwater Studio - she creates beautiful hand drawn florals and wreaths and has been kind enough to let me use her designs for stamps.

I have had lots of fun making cards with these stamps and here are a few examples:

On this card I used my Trellis Background stencil and stamped and masked the flower cluster.  I coloured it with pencils and cut it out.  The sentiment is from MFT.

I shall link up for a second time at The Flower Challenge where Anything Goes.

Here I stamped the semi wreath four times to create this pattern and coloured with pencils again.  I shall link this one up at Simon Monday's Challenge where we are going with a Feminine/Girly theme

I hope you like these Boho Flower stamps.  I will have more ideas to share with you over the next few days :)

Blooming Hibiscus

Hello,

I have done a bit of Sunday crafting (isn't it the best?!) and used my new Hibiscus stencil to create a simple card:

I simply inked through the stencil with distress oxides, using a sponge dauber to try and keep the colours separate.  I then lifted the stencil and added further detail and depth with coloured pencils.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

I shall enter this card at The Flower Challenge where anything goes.

You can buy the stencil from my store: www.funkyfossil.co.uk.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday :)

Introducing Chubby Unicorns

Hello!

I am very excited to let you know that I will be releasing 3 new stamp sets in my shop on Thursday, 14 March.   I have had lots of fun creating with them and hope that you will like them too!

Today I want to introduce you to the cute Chubby Unicorns A6 stamp set:

These stamps feature the fab illustrations of Kimma Parish from Le Petite Market who has kindly allowed me to turn them in to stamps.  I love her quirky style and these unicorns are so sweet that I couldn't resist them :)

I masked off the middle panel of the card and inked my confetti hearts stencil at the top and bottom of the card base before stamping the unicorn couple.  I have simply watercoloured them with sparkle pens.  The sentiment is from Altenew.

On this card, I masked a circle and inked my Droplets stencil in a range of distress inks.  I used the same colours to watercolour the sleeping unicorn.  I shall link this card up at Time Out where we are being unique!  Unicorns are, of course, unique.....

I have two more sets to share with you over the next few days before they go on sale.  I hope you like them :)

Here are the stencils that I have used on the cards above.  Available to buy at www.funkyfossil.co.uk

Saturday Crafting

Hello!

I had a bit of time today to make a few cards 'just because' rather than having a deadline to meet or piece of DT work to produce.  It meant that I could play with my Tribal Background stencil again which is new in store this week:

I masked a line across the middle of the card panel and inked through the stencil with Dusty Concord, Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides.  The sentiment is from MFT.  All very simple!  I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes and at The Male Room Challenge where Anything Goes.

I also had another play with my new Droplets Background Stencil:

The stencil background is used with cute Whale Wishes from Mama Elephant and a sentiment die from Tonic.

I hope you like today's cards!  Both stencils are available in my shop - www.funkyfossil.co.uk

Thanks for stopping by :)
