Spring Fresh + Winner

Hello!

Just a very quick post from me to share a few spring like cards that I have made - blogland is awash with soft, pastel colours and the hope of sunnier days.  Here is what I made:

The background is created with very pale watercolours in spun sugar, tumbled glass and sprayed with shimmer mist.  I combined it with vellum die cut leaves and some pastel butterflies from PTI.  A few enamel dots finish it off.

I will link up at the spring themed challenge at Simon's Wednesday Challenge.

Secondly is a spring dress from Clarity Stamps:

I used their dress stencil and sponged a dotty stencil through it to create a polka dot pattern.  The matching sentiment stamp is stamped in cornflower blue.  I will link up at Inkspirational where the challenge is She Art and at Happy Little Stampers for their sponging challenge.

I hope you like them!

Before I go, I wanted to thank you for your lovely comments on my blogaversary post last week - I really appreciated all of your encouragement and good wishes.  I asked my youngest to pick a number between 1 and 40 and he picked number 26.....Shona Chambers!!  I shall get the prize package in the post to you, my lovely :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Sarah x

  3. Oh, my, Sarah, that shimmer mist is something else, isn't it?! It really comes through in your photo and makes the background truly look like, well, spun sugar! The sweet dreamy butterflies and vellum leaves are a simply perfect topping!! I also love your "She" card design! Very simple, but with a huge impact!! Hugs, Darnell

  4. I have never thought of cutting leaves in vellum but they add a lovely soft touch, must give this a go. And as for the bg wash, gorgeous.

  5. Well, my goodness, please give your little one a huge thank you hug from me!! I've been gardening all day and can hardly keep my eyes open but thought I would check my emails and found one from Sandie, telling me to take a peek over here.....talk about exciting!!!! Thank you so very much, this is such a generous prize. I promise I will give them all a very good home and will inundate you with cards using them all. There's no rush to post either and just let me know if you need my postal address again. Loving both of your cards by the way. I can totally see that shimmer mist, it really gives the card an ethereal look with the vellum and pastel colours. And that dress stamp is fantastic. Would have never thought to stencil over it with dots, it looks incredible and your a crafting wonder!
