Honey, I Shrunk the Kit #2

Hello!

Do you remember back in June when the lovely Hazel from Hazel's Paper Designs set up a mini kit club with me and Shona from Twine Around.  We had lots of fun with the first kit which Hazel put together and are back with the second kit which I compiled:

The idea behind the kit is that we send a few hand stamped images and a small number of papers and embellishments to make 2 or more cards.  I obviously went with a coffee theme!!

Here are the cards that I made:

I used the dotted ombre paper as the base and layered elements over the top.  I coloured in and cut out the coffee cup and cut out the coffee sentiment.  I hand stitched the little banner at the top of the card too.  This isn't my usual style but I quite liked the combination of elements.

I coloured the cup in with spectrum noir pencils and wink of stella and combined it with the inked and glazed the wood veneer heart.  I die cut the Stamplorations sentiment to create a small label and die cut the light pink and kraft card with dies from WPlus9.

I can't wait to see what Shona and Hazel have come up with - it is great fun to play with a small number of elements and see what you can do with them!  I hope you like our second kit creations :)

I will link up for a third time at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by,

Sarah x

  1. What a brilliant idea! Sometimes it can get awfully overwhelming with so much stuff to play with. Love the colours and the hand stitching is inspired. xx

  2. Hi Sarah!! Your kit is just darling ... the cards you've created? Just fabulous - love, love, love that ombre paper! I've just purchased that sweet swirled cup [it will be part of my own 12 Kits in August!] and your glossy heart! Fantastic!

  3. Sarah, these cards look FANTASTIC! I love the stitching you incorporated in the first one,and am a BIG fan of that circle ombré patterned paper. I love the way you die cut that Stamplorations sentiment to create a little ticket on your second card, and the way you coloured that gorgeous little wooden heart. I considered applying colour to mine, but was too scared! Yours worked so well!! Your layouts are so sweet!! I tell you, I loved this kit, and three things have happened as a result: I want to get more little wooden elements, more glassine bags and more pink patterned paper. Thanks so much again for all the fun!

  4. I love the papers and elements you chose for this kit, and I think you did an amazing job with your cards! The ombre dots are so fun and work perfectly with the elements, and I love how you colored the coffee cup on the 2nd card! Two gorgeous cards as always, Sarah!

  5. My computer drives me nuts sometimes!!! I left comments for yourself and Hazel last night (along with some other blogs I visited) and it gave me a funny msg after I submitted each one but didn't think anything of it. Just realised that none of my comments worked, so I'm so sorry nothing turned up last night!!! Thankyou for creating the most beautiful kit and I loved playing around with the papers. I love that our cards all look so different again too. The ombre circle paper looks so good with the black strip and love the sewn sentiment at the top. You used all your embellishments so beautifully! Just love the waffle edged die you used on the pink paper for your second card, so pretty. And the ticket die is so cool!! I have two big posts this week and then I can relax and sort out the kit for you guys. I can't decide on my theme yet, so many ideas in my head! Hope your having a wonderful holiday and can't wait to hear if you two sat in silence or not!!
