Less is More #289

Hello!

Here we are another week closer to the end of the summer :(  I hope you are still enjoying some sunshine....

This week at Less is More we are looking for cards that have a French theme and are one layer!

I came up with a couple of ideas:

I used the fab radio and sentiment stamp from Create A Smile and simply stamped a woodgrain stamp from Waltzingmouse along the bottom to create the look of a shelf or table.  The radio is coloured with pencils and i added a touch of glossy accents to the heart.

I created a French style Christmas card using a wreath stamp and sentiment from Papertrey Ink.  I gold embossed them and coloured in the leaves with pencils.  A very simple design.

Going with French sentiments seemed to be the most obvious way to go to me but you may other French themed ideas to share with us.  The DT have their own creative interpretations of the challenge over at Less is More - do check them out!

Thank you for stopping by today!

  1. Love that first funky and trendy one Sarah and I actually thought you'd slipped up on the one layer with the 'wooden shelf' but hey that's one realistic and fantastic stamp. May have to bag myself that one sometime!!! Your Christmas one is so elegant too and yep French sentiments seem the way to go for this one. Have a superb week and hope the sun shines! Sarah x

  2. Beautifully CAS cards! Like Sarah, I think that woodgrain stamp is *very* realistic - it really adds visual depth and looks fantastic. I love how you've taken quite different elements and made them align into the theme. So creative and nicely done. The wreath for the second card is gorgeous. The gold embossing looks fab with the green colouring. Have a great week :)

  3. That contemporary radio card is brilliant Sarah! Such beautiful colouring with your pencils makes the radio look rounded.... and I'm with everyone else...gasping at how realistic that wood grain stamp is. The speech bubbles really suit the radio image too. Your Christmas card is gorgeous too - such a lovely CAS design.
