Pink and Blue

Hello!

I hope you are having a good weekend and enjoying some crafty time.  As it was half term this week I had a bit of a chance to catch up with myself and make a few cards for fave challenges in to the bargain!

First up I have a card for CASology where the cue card is Cure:

Quite a few people at work are struggling at the moment with coughs and colds which, so far, I have managed to avoid.  These stamps and sentiments from Paper Smooches are just perfect for this time of year :)  I simply paper pieced the box of tissues and added a strip of patterned paper at the bottom of the card.

I also wanted to play along with the masculine challenge over at AAA cards.  I do need lots of boy cards so this was a good opportunity to add to my stash.  I used a fab new sentiment die from Stamplorations and a star from MFT.  They are popped on fun foam and covered in glossy accents.  I inked through a stencil in blue and combined with some grungy Stamplorations stamps.  I will also add this card to Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes and at Stamplorations October CAS Challenge:

I REALLY should be getting on with Christmas cards but am not feeling sufficiently festive yet.  Maybe once Halloween is out of the way :)

Thanks, as always, for stopping by,

Sarah x

  1. Ha ha no need to apologise we just think alike and with this stamp set you are limited to use it in certain ways...but do love the graphic style of it don't you ? And love the matching strip of paper on yours, it tied it together beautifully x

  11. What a cool, grungy, masculine card, Sarah ... the shine on the star and 'birthday' are fantastic against the graphic stencilling! Love that sweet CASilicious tissue box ... so cute and clever ... and such a brilliant take on the cue card! Seems I wasn't the only one who thought so ... congratulations on your top spot at CASology! Hugs, Anita :)
