Christmas in July

Hello!

I have made a few Christmas cards this weekend...I think that I can count the number of Christmas cards that I have made so far this year on the fingers of one hand so it is going to be a busy autumn!!  I recently got the Merry sentiment die and stamps from Winnie and Walter and that was what inspired me to get making:

First up is a one layer card that I made by masking a central panel on the card and inking through my Geo Flowers stencil in Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover Distress Oxides.  The sentiment is from W&W and the sweet little holly is from Uniko.  This is a quick one to batch make and shows that some non-Christmas specific stencils can work for festive cards.  I shall link this up at the Anything Goes challenge over at Simon's Wednesday Challenge and at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge where Anything Goes without the optional twist of Santa.

This card has a bit more bling and texture on it.  I put a card panel through a snowflake embossing folder and added some highlights with silver gilding wax.  The Merry is die cut from red glitter card and the snowflake is from MFT's stylish snowflakes set.  That is cut from silver glitter card.  Some shiny red and white washi tape complete the design.  I shall link this up at Simon's Monday Challenge which is Christmas.

Remember to check out my Folksy store where everything is 20% off until midnight (BST) on 31 July before I close down for a few weeks summer break.  Just quote FOSSIL20 at checkout.

Thanks for stopping by,

  4. Those greens blended so beautifully through your stencil, Sarah, and the bright red 'merry' compliments it well. Thanks for sharing your card with us at HLS Christmas.
