Honeycomb and Cogs

Hello,

Just stopping by with a few cards made using some of my stencils for a couple of fab challenges.  First up, I made this card for the CAS Stencil Challenge where we are using embossing pastes this month:

I simply masked of a stripe on the front of the card and inked it with Fossilised Amber distress oxide before using a gold embossing paste through my honeycomb stencil.  I combined the stencil with Reverse Confetti's sweet bee stamp and sentiment to complete this CAS design.

On this card I used gilding flakes with my Circuit Board stencil on grey cardstock.  I like the variegated effect of the flakes!  The sentiment is from MFT and I then painted and heat embossed some of my cog mdf embellishments to create a distressed look.  I shall link this card up at Time Out where we are using at least 2 embellishments on our designs and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where we are creating our own backgrounds.  I shall also link up at Inkspirational where the challenge is to pop it up - the mdf embellishments add that extra dimension.

The products that I have used today are available to buy in my store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk:

Thanks for stopping by,

Sarah x
