More Adventures.....

Hello!

The challenge at Time Out is to make something inspired by an item of clothing from your wardrobe - it is such a cool idea that I had to play along :)  I used our new Adventure stamp set to make this card:

The mountain and treeline are inspired by one of my t-shirts:

I have made another card using a sentiment from the Adventure set combined with our new Angel Wings stencil:

I inked through the stencil with blue distress oxides and brushed a light dusting of perfect pearls at the top of wings.  I white heat embossed the sentiment on some dark blue card and added that to the card.

I shall link up at Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge where the theme is Wings.

I hope that you like these cards.  Here are the products that I used which are available to buy at www.funkyfossil.co.uk:

A few more ideas....

Hello!

Thank you for your positive response and feedback to our new stamp sets which were released for sale yesterday - you can see the launch post here and there is still time to comment to be in with a chance of winning the entire release!

I wanted to share a few more ideas with you - as you can imagine, I have been making a lot of samples with these new sets.....

You don't always need to use the focal images from the Adventure set - here I just used the feathers and a sentiment:

I shall link up at Less is More where the challenge is a one layer card and off centre stamping.

The Adventure set also plays well with so many of our other products at www.funkyfossil.co.uk including our mdf artboards, mdf stag and tree elements and our stencils.  Here I used Retro Starburst, Messy Rainbows, In to the Wild and Birds in Flight.

I shall link up at Simon's Monday Challenge where we are making pieces of home decor.

And finally I wanted to share another card made using Blooming Birthday.  I love the clean florals on this set and repeat stamped them on a DL card.

Here are the products that I have used today:

Hello!

Finally, our five new stamp sets are available for sale at www.funkyfossil.co.uk :)  Hopefully this release has a stamp set for every taste and style and you have been inspired by our preview posts this week!

There are 3 A6 stamp sets - Quirky Owls, Blooming Birthday and Serenity:

And 2 A5 stamp sets - Adventure and Scandi Home:

We want to celebrate the release with a giveaway of all 5 sets to one lucky person drawn at random from comments left on this and the DT blogs/insta feeds.  You have until midnight on Wednesday 29 January to leave a comment :)

Here are a few more cards that I have made with these sets:

I have used one of the fab focal images from Adventure along with our Distressed Diamonds and Splatter stencils.  I also made my own washi by stamping the swallow images on to some mop up rice paper.

This card features images from Scandi Home white embossed on grey with one of the corner stamps creating the patterned red background.

Here is Serenity which features the yoga silhouette against an alcohol ink circle with the cosmic symbols stamped in pale pink in the background.

I haven't even got time to show you more of the cards that I have made with Blooming Birthday and Quirky Owls as I want you to be able to check out the inspiring makes from the DT.  They have created such beautiful projects with these stamps:

Remember, every comment that you leave will increase your chances of winning the whole release!

I would love to know which of the sets are your favourite - leave me a comment to tell me what you think :)

Funky Fossil January Release - Scandi Home

Hello!

Finally we have come to the final stamp set to make up our January release.  Scandi Home is an A5 clear stamp set and I love the quirky, nordic feel of the images.

Here I stamped onto a brayered background to create a cute scene.

Creating a stamped background in blues and greys is an easy way to create a scandi look.  I have combined it with a sentiment from Blooming Birthday on this card.

Here is the full set:

When I get this stamp set out I just keep playing with it.  The images are perfect for pattern building, backgrounds and for scenes.  As they are quirky in style they are very forgiving as well!

Check out what the DT have created with this stamp set:

Funky Fossil January Release - Adventure

Hello!

It is our third day of previews of the 5 new stamp sets which will be available to buy at www.funkyfossil.co.uk from Saturday at 9am.  If are not already a subscriber to our newsletter, now would be a great time to go over to the store and subscribe as all subscribers will receive a code with an exclusive discount tomorrow.

Today we are sharing designs made with our new A5 stamp set - Adventure.  This is packed full of outdoor imagery and sentiments.  I think that it is just that little bit different!  Here are a few examples of what I have been making:

On my first card I simply stamped the focal image twice and used a circle mask for the sun.

I love the feathers that come with this set and the way that they coordinate with the sentiments.  I simply stamped them multiple times and coloured in bright shades to create a background and stamped the sentiment on black for a 'chalkboard' effect.

I have been completely blown away by the designs that the DT have put together with this set.  You can find their inspirational makes here:

Funky Fossil January Release - Blooming Birthday and Serenity

Hello!

We are back for a second day of previews of the 5 new stamp sets which will be available for sale at www.funkyfossil.co.uk from 9am on Saturday :)  Today the two A6 sets that I want to introduce are Blooming Birthday featuring illustrations by Maggie Molloy and Serenity which features designs by Lana Elanor.  I have loved crafting with both of them!

Here are a few examples:

Blooming Birthday

I love the simple lines of this stamp set.  It looks great as white on kraft or coloured up.

Here I have stamped the different grasses and flowers from the set in shades of green around the card front and combined them with a sentiment from Beautiful Inside and Out.

Serenity

The yoga silhouette from this set goes perfectly with our new Lotus Flower stencil!

Here I have combined the yoga silhouette with our Boho Flowers stamp set to show how they can work together.  It would work equally well with the images from Blooming Birthday!

The fab DT have been working their magic again.  Check out the inspirational makes that they have to share here:

Funky Fossil January Release - Quirky Owls

Hello!

I am so excited to start sharing details of the stamp sets that we are going to be releasing this Saturday at 9am :)  The DT and I have had them for a while now and I have been looking forward to telling you about them!  The release is made up of 5 sets which cover a range of styles as usual including fabulous illustrations by Kimma Parish through to eye catching scandi designs and simple florals.

Today we start with Kimma's wonderfully unique illustrations.  This set is quirky owls and is full of personality as usual.  Here is an example:

This geeky owl is just so cute!  I stamped and coloured him and adhered him over a stencilled heart which has the Retro Starburst stencil to create a starry sky.  The stamp set has other sweet characters to choose from:

The DT have been creating some amazing cards with this set.  You can find their inspirational samples here:

Journey

Hello!

It has been a busy week but I did manage to get a card made using a watercolour background which had been sitting on my desk for a while!  I used our Shoal of Fish stencil to make this card:

I used Cosmic Shimmer Copper Kettle Texture paste through the stencil and added a Tim Holtz Ideaology word sticker.

I shall link up at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where we are using stencils this week and at Inkspirational where the theme is Fauna.

I hope that you like it!

More New Stencils!

Hello!

I am stopping by to share a couple of cards made with new stencils that have gone live in store at www.funkyfossil.co.uk this week.

First up is a simple card made with our Chevron Stencil:

I simply inked through it in Hickory Smoke and Pumice Stone Distress Oxides and added a layered die cut from MFT.  I adhered 4 layers together to give the sentiment real dimension!  I shall link up at Seize the Birthday's challenge where the optional twist is to add layers.  I shall also link up at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge.

This next card has a real outdoorsy vibe and features our new compass stencil which I have used a gunmetal paste through for a metallic look.  I have added details from our In to the Wild stencil to create the scene.

I shall link this card up at Simon's Monday Challenge where the theme is Something New - which in this case is the new stencil.  I will also share it over at The Male Room Challenge where Anything Masculine Goes.

I hope you like these new stencils:

Coral and Blue

Hello!

I am stopping by with a quick post to share a card that I have made for the new challenge over at Less is More which is to make a CAS card using last year's pantone colour of the year (coral) and this year's (blue).  What a great idea!  Here is what I came up with:

I simply inked up a circle in Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide and overlaid our Butterfly Flurry stencil over the top and inked through with Blueprint Sketch and a touch of Chipped Sapphire.  I added a few white highlights with a posca pen and a sentiment from WPlus9.  I thought that rounding the corners would make my one layer card look a bit more special.

I shall also link up this card at Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge where the optional twist this month is wings.

This is the stencil that I used on today's card:

Thanks for stopping by,
