Honey I Shrunk the Kit!

Hello!

It is time for another instalment of our Honey I Shrunk the Kit feature where a merry little band of cardmakers share a small kit of supplies to come up with their own CAS designs :)

The Honeys are made up of Hazel from Hazel's Paper Designs (whose idea this was!), Shona from Twine Around, Sarah P from Sazzle Dazzle Crafts and Sandie Munro from London Days.  I am delighted to say that we have also been joined by Anita from Neet and Crafty another teamie from Less is More and a fabulous cardmaker.

It was my pleasure to put the kit together this time around and I came up with a range of heart and love based images and sentiments.  I shall whizz through the cards that I came up with:

I simply cut out some lovely floral images from Paper Smooches and coloured them with promarkers - they really pop against the black.  The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says and heat embossed sentiment is from Hero Arts (not in the kit).  I shall link up at Simon Wednesday's Challenge for a second time where the theme is Anything Goes and at Paper Smooches February Challenge where the theme is Love.

I watercoloured a few of the facets from the Neat and Tangled heart and combined it with a sentiment from Altenew.  I will link up for a second time at AAA Cards current challenge which is watercolour.

I inked a mini scene in the heart and popped the sweet bunnies from Mama Elephant over the top.

I popped the red heart from Simon Says over a strip of the patterned paper.  I added a die cut sentiment (not in the kit)

Finally, I simply added 3 wooden heart embellishments over the patterned paper and combined with a sentiment from Hero Arts.

Here is the kit:

As you can see, I didn't even use all of the elements!

I can't wait to see what the other Honeys have come up with - do stop by their blogs to check out their ideas :)

I am back later this morning with a Less is More post and the Uniko release day blog hop so hope to see you again soon!

Then the 3rd has fab masking and so sweet. The 2 cards with suoer use of the dsp-I was lost with this. Thanks again hon x

  2. Ditto Sandie's comment on this gorgeous kit Sarah! Loved playing with it and now swooning over all your super CAS and elegant designs. Your colouring is perfection on each one and the gorgeous little sun-set scene in front of those bunnies is so adorable. I'm impressed by your white gel pen accents recently they add a really classy dimensional touch and super neat too. Thanks again for sending us these goodies ... off to hop the rest!!!

  4. Woo hoo, this kit was absolutely amazing Sarah and everyone has created so many wonderful cards with it!! I think I might need to get my hands on the floral Paper Smooches set, I loved colouring them in like you and yours really pop against the black. The faceted heart stamp is one I've always wanted. Love how you used the pink and left it as the star of your card. You've blown me away with your bunnies and their heart sunset. This is absolute genius!!!! And your use of the red wooden hearts and heart die-cut with the paper is brilliant. I just realised that we are the only ones that didn't use any doilies!! Thank you so much for this kit, it was super fun to use and I still have heaps left over to make even more cards. Wish me luck, your going to be a hard act to follow as I'm making the next kit!!!

  5. Firstly, thanks for the welcome, and for providing this fantastic kit! Your pastel flowers are coloured brilliantly, and look so pretty with the black. The double frame for your faceted heart looks so stylish. Love the little sunset for the bunnies, and the cute little cloud floating by was a great little addition. And I love the simple layouts of your final two, the vertical lines with the pops of red are fabulous! xx

  6. Sarah, this was such an awesome kit, and I have taken notes on how I can improve my future kits. Firstly, apologies for being so late with my comments. I could have done without the slow recovery. Anyhow, these cards look fantastic! I am loving the pastel/black combination of the first two. Those huggable bunnies in their love-framed sunset is so sweet and your dsp/ wooden heart layouts are strikingly divine! Echoing everyone's comments: this was such a fun kit to play with. THANK YOU so much Sarah!
