Less is More #331

Hello!

I am popping in briefly to share the cards that I have made for the new challenge over at Less is More.  It is a colour challenge this week and we are looking for neopolitan ice cream colours!

If Mr Blogger is playing nicely, this post will go live while I am in Spain with my family for half term break so I am sure that there will be lots of ice cream consumed!  Making cards for this challenge got me in the mood for summer :)

I thought that I was going to struggle with these colours initially but actually found that they worked really well together!  On this card I have used some fab Concord and 9th leaf dies in each of the colours and added some splattering in gold and pale pink on the background.  The sentiment and banner are from Papertrey Ink.

More Concord and 9th on this card with the watercolour style butterfly.  I have combined it with a lovely sentiment from Stamplorations who are our generous sponsors for June.

Do check out lots more yummy inspiration from the DT and from the super talented Shery from Stamplorations who is our GD this week!  I hope that this has got you in the mood for ice cream and cardmaking.....although it can get messy if you try them together :)

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. Two fabulous cards, Sarah ! Both of them very delicate and sophisticated ! Love the first one with those stylish leaves, they look like wheat strands, so of course they make me think to the summer ! The second one is a real treat for the eyes with the butterflies in those colours ! Love them both ! Enjoy your holidays and the sun of Spain, lucky you ! x

  3. Two little beauties from you here Sarah. The first one has such a graphic look to it with those stylised, ears of corn, leaf die cut. The splattering in the background really softens the card up. Total yumminess from the C&9th butterfly. I am so in love with that stamp set and you've showcased it so well here. Enjoy your holibobs! xx

  7. Loving both of these, Sarah! The Concord and 9th leaves are wonderful and the more I see of them the more I want them. You've created a lovely delicate look with the splatters and stylized banner. Your butterfly card goes perfectly with the sentiment you chose and looks so light and fresh with the soft colours and pretty pink of the large butterfly... gorgeous. Hope you have a fab time in Spain! x
