Make a Wish

Hello!

I hope that you have had a great weekend :)  It has been a busy one so I haven't had as much time to craft as I would like but I wanted to play along at Time Out.  The word inspiration - Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground - had me reaching for my Shooting Stars stencil and my Chubby Unicorns stamps.

I inked through the star stencil with distress oxides and coloured the unicorn with pencils.  The sentiment is from WPlus9 and I added one of my MDF stars.

As it is a birthday card, I shall also link up at Seize the Birthday for Anything Goes.

And finally, I would like to link up at AAA Birthdays first challenge where Anything Goes.  I am sure that it is going to be a very popular challenge :)

You can buy the products that I used on my card in my online store - www.funkyfossil.co.uk:

Teal Joy

Hello,

I am just stopping by with a christmas card that I have made using my layered christmas tree and shooting stars stencils - yes, I am still making christmas cards!  I don't think that I am going to get enough made this year :(

I inked through the base tree with peacock feathers and then went over the striped layer with sparkle texture paste.  I then cut the tree out, attached to the snowy ground.  I silver heat embossed the shooting star stencil on the base card panel and combined it with an mdf star.  The sentiment is from Concord and 9th.

I shall link up at Time Out for a second time as this fits with their joyful theme and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is christmas.

I hope you like this glittery christmas card!

Stars at Night

Hello,

This week's challenge at Simon's Monday Challenge is Starry Night which seemed like the perfect opportunity to use my Shooting Stars stencil:

I made a galaxy background by using brightly coloured colour bursts on watercolour card and colouring over them with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide and Black Soot Distress Ink.  I splattered with water and with white paint.  Once dry I then pounced through my shooting star stencil with flitterglu and used silver gilding flakes.  Finally, I used ultra thick embossing powder on some of my mdf stars in silver and purple.  The sentiment is by Uniko and is white embossed.

I really liked this effect - it was a lot of fun to make :)

You can find the stencil in my Folksy store:

Cuteness Alert!

Hello!

I hope you have been enjoying your weekend :)  Here in Spain we have had 4 days of rain which has been a good opportunity to keep crafting....you know that you have an addiction when you are secretly quite happy to see a cloudy sky!  I have been playing with a few new to me sets that I bought out before I came on holiday.  They were too cute to leave at home.

First up is this beautiful little unicorn from Clearly Besotted:

I simply inked round one of my circle aperture stencils and inked up the shooting star stencil in a range of distress inks so that the little unicorn looks as if she is running across a starry sky.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted too.  I shall link this up at Seize the Birthday where Anything Goes and at AAA Cards where the theme is to use a stencil.

On a more rustic note, I wanted to share this cute little fox from Mama Makes.  I simply watercoloured and masked him and stamped the free leaf images from the current edition of Creative Stamping magazine behind him.  I added a few additional splatters to enhance the watercolour look and inked around the edge.  I shall link up at Simon Says Monday Challenge where we are using sprinkles and splatters on our cards :)

I hope you like these cute characters!

Starry Stag

Hello!

I have been wanting to play along at Time Out all week but haven't had the chance until today.  The theme is Holiday and so I have used a couple of my stencils to create a christmas card:

I inked through the stag's head stencil with Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean and Black Soot distress oxides.  I then laid my shooting star stencil over the top and dabbed through with flitter glue and applied silver gilding flakes.  I stamped and silver embossed a sentiment from Altenew to complete the card.

I shall also link up at Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge where Anything Goes without the optional twist.

I hope you like this CAS christmas card and the stencils that I have used.  You can find them in my Folksy store.

Thanks for stopping by,

Wish Big

Hello!

I inked up my Shooting Stars stencil again the other day and made this card:

I created a rainbow effect with distress inks and added a new sentiment stamp from Altenew.  The little critter is from Mama Elephant and I coloured him with pencils.  I drew a line to the mdf star so that he is swinging from it.

I shall link up at CASology where the cue card is Active and at Simon's Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes this week.  I shall also link up for a second time at Inkspirational where the theme is Play because I think that he looks like he is having a lot of fun!  Finally, I shall link up at Seize the Birthday's Anything Goes challenge.

You can get this stencil and the mdf stars in my Folksy shop.

I hope you are having a fun weekend :)
