Less is More #302

Hello!

Another week has rolled around and we are back with a one layer challenge at Less is More....this week the theme is books/literature.  Intriguing!

To be honest, I struggled a bit with this one and this is what I came up with:

I stamped and white embossed the world map from Concord and 9th, masked and inked a panel with a range of blue distress inks and combined it with a Dr Seuss sentiment (from Waltzingmouse Stamps).  A few enamel dots complete the card.

My second card features a dictionary stamp to fit in with the book theme:

I simple masked another panel, stamped the dictionary text (from Kaisercraft, I think) in grey archival ink and inked with Antique Linen and Pumice Stone distress inks.  The sentiment is from Altenew.

I will link this card up at the Thanksgiving theme over at AAA Cards

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is also based on a thanksgiving theme this week so I shall play along there too.

I am really interested to see where this theme takes you!  Check out the fab inspiration from the DT who will have lots of creative ideas to share with you over at Less is More :)

See you again soon,

Sarah x

  1. I love these Sarah! The first card perfectly reflects what hooked me on reading in the first place... that feeling of going somewhere even while staying still. Great theme! Your second card is such a clever design! I honestly thought you'd forgotten it was one layer week and used an actual layer from a dictionary! Super stamping and inking ninja skills, clearly! Have a lovely weekend x

  4. Love your thinking Sarah! That dictionary stamp looks amazing under your fabulous inky blending hands. I was wowed with the Dr Seuss sentiment and have been waiting to see where you got that (Ah well, guess I missed that boat). To team it with an Atlas image was a stroke of genius! xx
